Xeshra: Could be realistic to see Suikoden 1+2 Remaster here someday, but do not hold your breath on Lunar, this one will never ever come to GOG as long as GunHo is publishing it.
Which is annoying, because GungHo did bring that kinda shoddy Grandia II port over here like a decade ago.

Of course, this also doesn't bode well for the Trails in the Sky remake due out later this year. Either way, I guess we're way off topic at this point.

Zoidberg: Basicallly this, I'm quite against the trend of more and more expensive games. 70 euros is NOT to be normalized.

eric5h5: Too late for that; it already has been. Accounting for inflation, games are in fact less and less expensive, not more: $70 isn't bad considering that a standard $60 game in 2015 should actually be $80 today, adjusting for inflation. And a standard $50 game in 2000 would be over $90 now.
Well suit yourself, I'll be waiting for lots of reviews and a steep discount on this one before I bite. I do own the original though, so that makes this rather easy to wait out. I will not buy any game at $70,- My backlog is too large and my priorities have shifted a bit. But nonetheless, great to see a classic appear here in a proper DRM Free form.

The Trails in the Sky Remake is probably busted. Not that i consider GunHos sales "rocket-like" on Steam, it could be better, but on GOG it is probably just half of that and even without DRM. I think the best sales they currently got are on Switch and they are as well just barely "accepting" Steam; GOG obviously not at all.

idbeholdME: The iflation argument people toss around is moot, because you are not getting the same thing you did 20 years ago. If they still kept poviding games on physical media with supplementary materials then nobody would make a peep.
That's simply not true, because 10 years ago games were digital and Steam was dominant like it is today. As I said, games at that time were commonly $60, which is equivalent to $80 now. And yes people would absolutely make a peep; as this topic amply demonstrates, people just complain about everything whether it's justified or not.

P-E-S: If only wages would keep pace with inflation as well, but they haven't for a very long time now.
It depends on where you are and other factors, but effectively they have, just barely. It's complicated by non-wage benefits (health-insurance etc.) rising more quickly than actual wages, but regardless of all that, $70 games have been normalized by now, and it is less than $80.
That's why all these inflation price comparisons can be a bit moot. It's the actual buying power of the consumer that matters. There's a good reason a lot of people just wait for the eventual (good) sales.
Like people haven't been doing that for many years anyway. It's more a factor of having more games than ever to choose from; unless you really want a particular game right now, you could play the dozens/hundreds/thousands of games in your backlog instead.
No freaking way! Instabuy!

I'm glad I resisted the temptation to buy it on Steam. Thanks GOG, and keep em' coming Konami.

What the hell! I wanted the original. =/
Not that I feel compelled to ever waste 50gb on modern games; the price tag is reminiscent of the 90s. When 1 DOS game was $60-100.

Which is funny. Because, we use to have screens that could get Burn in. We over came that and guess what? Hurray! We have shit quality screens again that can get burn in back! >_>

Who is happy about big pricetags and screen burns coming back? xD

I would rather have the Vita 2D remakes. I consider THOSE the definitive versions and I think every line there is voice acted.
A 3D remake makes me uncomfortable and reminds me too much of the PS2 where they made the sequels of MANY 2D games 3D for the SHALLOW graphics obsessed people back at that time. Because Konami and others were crazy about getting those types. When I see remakes of Skies and others I consider it like putting a hatchet in the head to 2D classics, like 3D is superior.
Interesting to see the negativity in the reviews here, whereas Steam has Overwhelmingly Positive reviews.

Steam only allows you to review a game if you own it, whereas you're not required to own the game on gog to review it, sadly.

I'll get backlash for saying this (again), but you shouldn't be able to post your 'this game is woke' or 'this doesn't run on my Windows XP from 2005' reviews if you don't own the game here.

This goes for 5-star reviews by people as well that haven't even started the game and simply type something like 'finally on gog'.

And the 1-star non-owners' "reviews" continue! People are clearly abusing the freedom of speech GOG gives them.

Maybe because there is a filter, so your problem has already been solved.

The overall score still gets warped by those reviews, especially if a game only has a small amount of votes/reviews. Back a few years some devs I asked said they didn't want their game here due to that. I'm not a fan of the system here.

Overall rating and verified owners rating are shown separately. The simple solution that doesn't involve removing reviews would be to show the verified owners one at the top of the page instead. Although funny enough there are some games where that would mean showcasing the lower score.

Anyway, there's also a lot of utterly worthless verified owner "reviews", and helpful non-verified owner reviews. Since a filter exists, I really don't like the idea of the decision of what reviews I should be able to read being made for me, especially based on such imperfect criteria.
