Installed RA2 + YR from The First Decade ( no patches used just straight from the DVD)
to the default folder setup always likes to use : the (x86) folder on disk c

I was able to run it 3 times.... after i restarted the PC and tried again.... BANG! all of a sudden"
the game starts to nag again , using 25% all the way, and whatever i tried, it failed to run.

Reiinstalling and rebooting didn't fix it , the games was +++ once again.

Anyway this was the final drop , retail box is hidden away in a smal storage box inside a dark closet together with other old games that don't work anymore. I might try it again, someday on a new PC....

Bottleneck or no bottleneck , i dont care anymore, i really need a new PC, so i get the parts as soon as they are on sale somewhere in the nearest store or mall, so discard the topic i made about not buying new parts for a PC
i will definitely get one :D.

sanscript: One of the most irritating problems on windows is the fact that you don't easily see what really is hooking behind a process, like f.ex Run32dll.exe and svchost.exe.

And many times it stems from bad programming choices and malware.

I will very much recommend using Sysinternals (now a part of Microsoft) utils: Process Explorer, Process Monitor, System Monitor, (or the older Register/File Monitor), and Autoruns.

Another one is the open source util Process Hacker

If you're looking for something more portable you can find them here: https://portableapps.com/apps.

gamesfreak64: handy tool, i have a few older ones, as for network activity, i know a possible heavyloader: KAV
but i need it to protect the windoze 7 so i cannot limit it , i can but then i have no active protection, MBAM is same, nice resource hoggers but i need them.

Anyway the nvidia driver and experience helper, maybe they are hoggers aswell... after i closed them load got a little less... problem is i have a lot of games using a profile cause they need to disable or adjust vsync... i doubt if that will work after i shutdown the 2 drivers...

I have another nasty old, probably DRM ( Securom or other related) error ...

this one: check attachment: cms32_95dll.png

Hexplore from Ocean ( a meh game i bought retail years ago, don't know why i bought it cause the scrolling is awfull and makes me 'seasick' also have Get Medieval (Microids) same thing, also a meh game i bought long time ago , also don't know why i got it cause it sux.

i used the 127.0.0.1 in the regkey but i dont see any difference, the games i thought it would help like RA2 dont work so.... anyway also thinking of not buying parts for new PC., and just let the old pc burn all the way till it cant be used...
That's another problem...

try with compatibility mode and check all visual c+ and net framework
