People who Owned Most of games were rewarded last year on GOG.

So, how much should I get for something like this:

so I would get 5 dollars and with that I could get 10 dollars (since now I have 90 titles).
Nice idea (just for costumers not for gog) but I don't think they will make it.
Something like trading cards like steam would be possible.

Criticism just from wikipedia page:
Companies complain that these loyalty programs discount goods to people that are buying their goods anyway, and that the expense of doing these programs rarely show a good return on the investment. Other critics see the lower prices and rewards as bribes to manipulate customer loyalty and purchasing decisions, or in the case of infrequent-spenders, a means of subsidizing frequent spenders.
On the other hand, a 2015 study claimed that most supermarket loyalty cards in the USA do not offer any real value to their customers.
Commercial use of the personal data collected as part of the programmes has the potential for abuse. It is highly likely that consumer purchases are tracked and used for marketing research to increase the efficiency of marketing and advertising; in fact, this can be one of the purposes of the loyalty card. To some, participating in a loyalty program (even with a fake or anonymous card) funds activities that violate privacy.
In short, manipulative behavior that serves no real value other than increasing revenue for shady marketing companies.

styggron: What you buy and when is up to you. If you only buy on sales like me, it will take quite some time and because it is things you would have bought anyway, it is just a reward for buying. Like a loyalty system.

Starmaker: (1) How does it make sense to reward people for buying games they won't play with a couple cents here and there, when not buying anything is a better plan if you care about monetary benefits?

(2) How does it make sense to reward whales at the expense of normal customers, thus telling them they're subhumans sponsoring some rich fucks' compulsive buying habits and it will take them decades to become "regulars" here and start benefitting from the scheme?
You are totally missing the point. You get credit and you can buy what you want when you want. You are additionally missing the point regarding size of the libraries. It is simply a reward program.

It is like the millions of reward programs out there that reward people that buy stuff. Nice and simple.

Hardly a reward.

I expected better from the GoG forum. Clearly I was wrong with most complaining about how people might or might not have more than others. Sorry this is how the world works. People around us drive big cars have big houses etc but I don't hate them, I don't think it is divisive. I don't think that brings the ire of everyone else for goodness sake. It would just be a rewards program idea. Again just like the millions of programs out there. like credit cards, shop vouchers when you spend a certain amount, buying 10 coffees from a place and getting the 11th free. I don't see those coffee customers complaining they can't get one, frequent flyers they are all the same thing but I don't hear people complaining about those. So I see no difference if they are on GoG.

Sure I can't get all those frequent flyer points but I don't begrudge those that can.

(facepalm)

No, you would need to have 100 titles before getting $10 under my suggestion. So you buy the 100th title and because you have 100 titles you get something.

It's a *simple* rewards program just like the millions out there already.

I'm not saying the initial proposal should be, it was just to float an idea for loyalty perks just like frequent flyers, free coffee after you buy 10 etc....

Would be nice if GoG could look at it and do their own. I don't think they would make it like I suggest it was only a starting point of "I wonder if this is possible".

Of course not but this is not steam.

1 random free game per X purchased games
They can give you a library game count badge on your profile, like Valve does.

Oh, as for the "free games" bit. GOG doesn't need to give anyone free games. Literally, just about every game is available free to pirate online if you want to get it. We pay for games here on GOG because we want to. No one has to pay for games on GOG or any other digital games retailer. If people want games without paying for them, those are readily accessible.

That is not the issue, that can't be changed. The idea is that the reward/loyalty programs are pseudo-iniatives hiding something else like data gatherings for ad companies. They don't add any real value.

There's no cash reward for hitting targets, but somebody with 3000 games on Steam would get a shitload of trading cards that they could sell on the Community Market for a very tidy sum indeed
Nah, they better use the money to improve overall experience (store, forum, support) so I'm continuously inclined to spend my money here.
I have to come clean..i have 452 games on GOG and i hate it... Just kidding and i have beaten like 40 - 60 GOG games on my Twitch channel
