I configured the PS4 controller and on the desktop it works, but when entering in the game, it doesn't work The Bloodlines have no controller support and the only option I know of is Xpadder. Tried removing UAC, opening with administrator etc.

try pinnacle instead: http://pinnaclegameprofiler.com/ has a 30 day full trial and worked for me.

be warned though, the developer died a few years back, so im not sure of the state of buying it right now (as in if you will get a key - check their forums)

I don't think that matters for a game wherein "shooting" is just a minor aspect. We're not talking about some quake/unreal style shooter here.
While mouse/kb might be "better", not everybody (non straight-up shooter fans) cares about those aspects you consider better.
But yeah, the translation from mouse/kb to controller via xpadder is sometimes not worth it (imo), depending on the game.

Don't download it from the main site. It looks like it's been hacked and the forums are down plus before the dev died he moved onto padstarr which is was also down.
The last time I looked the website version it has malware that drops a hacked Firefox and porn websites onto your PC and who knows what else. You could try getting it from cnet or softpedia then finding a serial to get it working.

not heard of that one. have a solid link? I know the mods from the forum were trying to arrange a means for pinnacle to continue with the family, but perhaps things have gone wrong (state of the site etc?).

The desktop isn't a game with specific controls. Follow the instructions in the link (scroll up to the first post) I've provided to set up both the game & xpadder for your controller.
