There's no one good way to spend your summer, but we know well that gaming can make every single one of them better. To that end, we're holding our [url=http://www.gog.com]2014 DRM-Free Summer Sale!

Each day we'll present you with at least two special Bundle Deals with a selection of of great classics and indies available up to 90% off! As usual, you'll be able to buy just selected titles out of the bundle with a slightly lower discount, or complete your collection with just the ones you're missing, retaining the higher discount rate. Let's take a look at our offers for today, shall we?

Today, we seriously mix things up to bring you both lighthearted comedy as well as dark and morbid horror. The Legacy of Kain Saga is the Full House of gaming with its family themes and colorful presentation. Across four episodes ironically titled Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, Blood Omen 2, and Defiance the series explores the relation between Kain, a authoritative father with obvious god complex, and Raziel, his rebellious son with questionable fashion sense. The story also includes many of their relatives from extended family, that cannot help but to make a mess in their imaginary homeland called Nosgoth. Hilarity ensues! All this cheerful moments for only $5.96 (that's 75% off!). The other of our offers today, is bound to chill the blood in your veins with its terrifying setting alone. The Deponia Complete Trilogy takes place on a distant planet. A planet, that long ago must have been not so different from our own Earth. Yet now, it is a grim and dark place that suffered a tragic environmental disaster. The surface of the planet is now completely covered with waste. Toxic rain flushes the pollution deep into the ground, poisoning it and making the land barren. Way above, there's the remaining enclave of civilization, housing the remnant of the human race. Now imagine one of them, a defenseless girl, falls down to the toxic junkyard below. Even though she doesn't die instantly poisoned with every imaginable toxin, her future looks grim. The wasteland is filled with danger, and soon she'll find out that she is not alone among the towering piles of garbage. What strange mutated monsters could have survived in such conditions? And what do they eat? The horror! All the thrills for just $11.97 (that's 80% off!). There you have it, a mix of laughter and cries of despair to fill your weekend with gripping gaming. Or did we overdo the mixing?

On top of that, almost all of our catalog has been discounted by up to 50%. On top of that, our front page is overflowing with excellent Flash Sales on single games. You can grab them up to 90% as well, but don't take to long, as they come and go pretty fast! Why don't you head out to GOG.com front page, and see what's happening right NOW!

whystler2012: Despite all the equine dentistry being practiced in this thread, i appreciate the gift!

Free is good!
Why? Would you appreciate it if I gave you a bunch of broken glass and said it use to be a window?

I think that giving a broken gift like this is pretty disrespectful. I don't get why GOG even sells it, at least without a large, impossible to miss, disclaimer stating that the game is broken.

Most of the blame falls on Kalypso though.

Coelocanth: This is key right here. It's completely unacceptable that they don't support a product they offer for sale, no matter which channel that may be. I do understand that it may be much easier to provide patching through Steam's platform, but if you're offering your game through other DD services, you need ton support it. Especially is the last patch provided actually breaks the game as is the case here with Omerta.
Perhaps GOG put pressure on Kalypso to fix the bug or they'd remove the game from the GOG catalogue by a certain date for being broken and unplayable past a certain point, and Kalypso responded by swinging the free promo past them to buy time to work on the patch. :)

disrespectful..that is the word i was looking for..thank you.

Indeed , it feels weird, why does Gog do this to me (us) ??
Man, Japanese Incentive never showed up on my shelf. I have the email receipt, no problems, but if I grab something else they won't be together in my list view.

Nerd world problems...

fronzelneekburm: Worst game evar? Heavens, no! Nowhere near (and that's coming from someone who left a 1-star-review that wagered potential players might find it "utterly, irredeemably awful beyond [their] worst expectations"). But at least it's a barely functional game that had some great aspirations (and failed utterly at each and every one of them). As far as the gog catalogue is concerned, I'd say that "Kingdom The Far Reaches" is easily the worst of the lot. It's not even a game, it's a pitiful 70s Saturday morning cartoon that occasionally allows you to click on stuff. (Fans of terrible games might still find Kingdom a guilty pleasure).
Hrm, I never even heard of that game before. :) Thanks for the warning though. :)

Very possible, but I am still of the opinion, waht difference does it make right now?! I have a HUGE backlog of games to play, so waiting for the patch isn't going to kill me, buying the DLC at a 75% discount shows the devs I am interested in their games, and do they really want to stop me from playing them the way I choose? 1 happy customer is better than 1 angry customer! 1 happy customer will tell 3 or4 people, 1 angry customer will tell EVERYONE who they come across about how they have been used and abused! I read in some business journal how 1 upset customer could lose you over 100 sales! Just 1.

It was added to your base game as +1 DLC.

Look for Omerta, should be noted as "+1 DLC" and an additional download option.

I appreciate the gift and can't really complain too much about free stuff, but I guess I don't understand why, if the game is unbeatable in its current state, they don't just roll back the game one version number. :S Surely they keep archives of earlier versions, and a few bugs must be preferable to a game that can't be completed.
i guess... jack keaeeeeeeennn2 will be the next free game?...

idk... but... did i do something wrong? Is there a reason why gog hates me?...so far if it is indeed jack keaeeeenn2

Neither did I! :P

Apparently, I got it as part of a pay-what-you-want Interplay bundle. Some day I just noticed that I had this game I knew nothing about on my game shelf, so I went to take a look at the game card. My immediate thought was: "Whoah, this looks like a shitty 70s cartoon!". It looked crappy enough to be fun, so I decided to give it a try, only to realise "Whoah, this IS a shitty 70s cartoon!"
one question about Omerta;

in my libary it said:
omerta +4DLC's 2.2.0 ??

but is it not version 1.06??
Duh. That was pretty obvious, my bad.

Thanks txnca, jm_md, & soavio!
