The biggest celebration of DRM-Free gaming this season is right now, right here on GOG.com! It's warm and nice outside, the summer draws ever closer, so let's make sure it's full of fantastic games. There's no one good way to spend your summer, but we know well that gaming can make every single one of them better. So, whether you plan to stay inside, hike into the wilderness, or take a boat into the calm sea, we'll make sure your laptop is filled with great DRM-Free games you can enjoy anytime, anywhere. To that end, we're holding our [url=http://www.gog.com]2014 DRM-Free Summer Sale!

Each day we'll present you with at least two special Bundle Deals with a selection of of great classics and indies available up to 90% off! As usual, you'll be able to buy just selected titles out of the bundle with a slightly lower discount, or complete your collection with just the ones you're missing, retaining the higher discount rate. Let's take a look at our offers for today, shall we?

Today, we seriously mix things up to bring you both lighthearted comedy as well as dark and morbid horror. The Legacy of Kain Saga is the Full House of gaming with its family themes and colorful presentation. Across four episodes ironically titled Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, Blood Omen 2, and Defiance the series explores the relation between Kain, a authoritative father with obvious god complex, and Raziel, his rebellious son with questionable fashion sense. The story also includes many of their relatives from extended family, that cannot help but to make a mess in their imaginary homeland called Nosgoth. Hilarity ensues! All this cheerful moments for only $5.96 (that's 75% off!). The other of our offers today, is bound to chill the blood in your veins with its terrifying setting alone. The Deponia Complete Trilogy takes place on a distant planet. A planet, that long ago must have been not so different from our own Earth. Yet now, it is a grim and dark place that suffered a tragic environmental disaster. The surface of the planet is now completely covered with waste. Toxic rain flushes the pollution deep into the ground, poisoning it and making the land barren. Way above, there's the remaining enclave of civilization, housing the remnant of the human race. Now imagine one of them, a defenseless girl, falls down to the toxic junkyard below. Even though she doesn't die instantly poisoned with every imaginable toxin, her future looks grim. The wasteland is filled with danger, and soon she'll find out that she is not alone among the towering piles of garbage. What strange mutated monsters could have survived in such conditions? And what do they eat? The horror! All the thrills for just $11.97 (that's 80% off!). There you have it, a mix of laughter and cries of despair to fill your weekend with gripping gaming. Or did we overdo the mixing?

On top of that, almost all of our catalog has been discounted by up to 50%. On top of that, our front page is overflowing with excellent Flash Sales on single games. You can grab them up to 90% as well, but don't take to long, as they come and go pretty fast! Why don't you head out to GOG.com front page, and see what's happening right NOW!

bell02: one question about Omerta;

in my libary it said:
omerta +4DLC's 2.2.0 ??

but is it not version 1.06??
2.2.0 is the GOG version number, they don't always sync with the universal version number.

2.2.0 is the GOG installer version, which unfortunately has no relation to the game version.

The game version can usually be seen in the system requirements part of the game page.

And i hear that the game improved a lot after the DLC's came out.
+1 for the wordsmithery!
I knew I should've set my alarm. I wake up and find I missed the giveaway by 8 minutes.

txnca: Very possible, but I am still of the opinion, waht difference does it make right now?! I have a HUGE backlog of games to play, so waiting for the patch isn't going to kill me, buying the DLC at a 75% discount shows the devs I am interested in their games, and do they really want to stop me from playing them the way I choose? 1 happy customer is better than 1 angry customer! 1 happy customer will tell 3 or4 people, 1 angry customer will tell EVERYONE who they come across about how they have been used and abused! I read in some business journal how 1 upset customer could lose you over 100 sales! Just 1.
It was added to your base game as +1 DLC.
Ah, but that's "what difference does it make now to me" and not "what difference does it make now to every single person who purchased the game ever before". For you and I may not play the game for some time now due to backlog or other reasons and not be overly concerned so long as the patch does show up as promised before we want to play it, but we can't forget all of the people out there who went ahead and both this game perhaps with excitement anxious to play it right away who then encounter a game buster bug either. They certainly have a right to be upset knowing there is a bug fix made that is not provided to GOG.com and if I had bought the game myself and encountered this type of experience and been waiting for a bug that I know is fixed on Steam and elsewhere but not here, I'd be rather upset with the developer/publisher also for not providing a minimum level of expected customer service.

So I'm happy that I got the game for free of course, and I probably wont be affected by the problem as I can wait it out personally and I've got ample games queued in my backlog, but I feel empathetic for those who have had a bad customer experience due to this and feel slighted.

But, the company themselves ultimately loses bigtime from not stepping up to the plate, as upset/angry customers aren't going to go around spreading praise via word of mouth and writing good reviews, etc. - they'll be writing bad reviews, giving low star ratings, and telling of their experiences in forums, blogs, etc. and that is what other potential customers will see and be influenced to some degree by. Ultimately the companies out there create their own reputations in the end from their actions. :)

I wont say that I'd never buy Kalipso's games in the future but I am definitely on-guard to wait and see widespread consensus post-release of their games due to the sour experiences others have had from this one. They do have the ability to redeem themselves too though, time will tell. :)

You're probably confusing the actual game version with the GOG installer packaging version.

Immoli: Why? Would you appreciate it if I gave you a bunch of broken glass and said it use to be a window?

I think that giving a broken gift like this is pretty disrespectful. I don't get why GOG even sells it, at least without a large, impossible to miss, disclaimer stating that the game is broken.

Most of the blame falls on Kalypso though.

Rakuru: I appreciate the gift and can't really complain too much about free stuff, but I guess I don't understand why, if the game is unbeatable in its current state, they don't just roll back the game one version number. :S Surely they keep archives of earlier versions, and a few bugs must be preferable to a game that can't be completed.
I believe the DLC requires version 1.06. That's what I read at least.

Some people said GOG should make version 1.05 as a bonus, that would let people play the base game in 1.05 and the DLC in 1.06.
The flash sales disappeared from the front page (?).

Edit: Now back, yeah!

They're back now.
Prepare yourselves because another Keaning is coming.
So i wonder if they are going to split up the time on these equally... that would mean the next is due in about 2hours and 40 mins?
Sonofabitch I missed Omerta. ;_;
