That's cool, and I think I actually like the censored version better, as that's how L4D1 looks to me on my laptop (no longer working).
it's cool I'd still like to play it.

I'm not too keen. Gameplay might be awesome, but come on, decapitations!
No, I'm avoiding it on principle. I'm 27, I can make my own decisions, if I don't like it, I'll evoke that thing called "choice".
EDIT: That was directed at the government and its advisory boards.. Do your job people, ADVISE.

Weclock: It's weird because I remember playing L4D1 and it both not having decapitations and it having decapitations and then I remember at some places it did.. so strange.. I guess I'll fire it up
That is strange... I don't remember any decapitations... However, there were cases when using high powered rifles that the zombie's head would explode.
If the gore was the same as L4D1, then that's fine. But they've toned the sequel down beyond that. (bodies disappear, no dismemberment from assault/sniper rifles, no red mist et cetera)

Weclock: well I had bodies disappear on my laptop and etc, because I had turned off a great deal of settings, one of which removed bodies instantly and removed particle effects as well as bullet holes, etc..
That's fair enough. I guess it comes down to what a person is familiar with, personally, I like the fact that bodies linger. I'm used to the gore, the bodies, and all of the effects within the game. L4D2AU is a massive leap backwards.
I like to think that I'm a little more progressive than that.
But it's also the inconsistencies that irk me. We can't mutilate zombies, but torching and blowing the legs off Axis troops in COD: WAW? That's fine!

Weclock: instead of editing out offensive material, give out a free pair of impossibly dark sunglasses and ear muffs.
that way, those who don't wish to be sheltered, can watch/do whatever it is these over sensitive people, do not wish to do.
problem solved!!!
haha, ok, not really, but wouldn't it be a weird world where this was considered an acceptable answer?

Actually I do think that is a perfectly acceptable answer. I hold that offense, just like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. Don't like something? Don't watch it. It's as simple as that.
