hey all
as we now know that hib weekly has Alan wake. my question is when Alan wake was released, there was mention of possible extra goodies coming along as gog copies had everything bar soundtrack.now hib comes along with their el cheap deal complete with soundtrack. so I do ask politely, has anyone actually looked at all about those extra goodies? if hib got the soundtrack, why not gog???

HIB is always a special case. Think about Psychonauts; the soundtrack is sold separately on Steam, and is not even availble on GOG. (The two albums are like 5-10 dollars each on iTunes.)

I'm assuming with Alan Wake that the music is really good, and thus including it would mean jacking up the price. As more and more composers are selling their music separately now, unfortunately I think we'll be seeing less and less of it here on GOG, until they start doing like Steam and letting people purchase soundtracks. (Of course, then that goes against their "free bonus content" ideal, and people would start complaining, so...)

This also happened with La-Mulana. The game was released without the soundtracks, but then there was a Groupees bundle that included them as a bonus. After the bundle, the GOG version was updated to include the soundtracks.

Hopefully Alan Wake will also be updated.

Edit: After seeing tfishell's reply, I am not as optimistic.

I could be wrong, it may happen, but I don't see it was likely.

You know, on the off-chance that GOG could make a deal to include the OSTs, I'm going to email them about this and the Retro Music Bundle.
Are the Humble Bundle soundtracks for Alan Wake in FLAC?

Alan Wake Nightmare is only mp3 for some reason

Thanks nijuu,

for mostly that reason, I only paid .01 for the bundle as I already own Alan Wake and Nightmare on GOG. The making of videos would have appeared on youtube or vimeo eventually.

The first game soundtrack is good. Not fast enough (pacing wise) for listening on a droid phone media player though.

It's pretty funny how the website reacts when you type in custom .01. It actually tells you "you have no heart, please complete the captcha to prove you are human". I guess they are trying to make you feel bad. Interestingly enough it doesn't tell you that if you pay 1.00 or more.

The first time I saw that my instinct was to download a copy of the image for myself, I wonder what that says about me?
As for the soundtracks, even if they do turn up here the $1 I paid HubbleBubble for them is fine by me as I gave it to charity and plan to give away the two games later as a single giveaway once everyone else is done with theirs.
I've wanted the soundtrack for some time, but I have been kinda stuck wondering if it might show up sometime here at random. When I saw the HB I had some hope it might finally show up here, though banking on that felt like a bad idea. I didn't see the need to buy the HB initially, because I've already bought AW for PC and for 360, along with AW:AN. But then I figured I would take advantage of that pick your own pricing thing and just rebuy the lot so I know I got it for sure. I normally try to pay a more reasonable amount, but figured I've paid for the game enough by now - I just want the blasted OST.
e: ive just realised that is not what you meant, move alone nothing to see here...*whistles*

You may not realize this, but by paying them $0.01 you are actually costing them money due to processing fees.
When you pay $1, while the return is small, at least it covers expenses.
So yes, you have no heart. :-(

Its a pretty funny message
My paypal is linked to my checking, not a credit card so no merchant fee from my bank to the developer. So I don't have any buyer remorse.

If they release New Nightmare OST in FLAC then I'll pay more probably.

Thanks nijuu, it was a pretty funny message. I wonder if it randomizes responses if it's below the 1.00 mark...

You may want to check:
https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/paypal-fees
https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/merchant-fees

PayPal charges the merchant a processing fee of a procentage of the purchase price + $0.30 for every transaction.
In essence you are costing them $0.29 when you buy for $0.01 .
Classy.
