Got $10 credit on there and was wondering what games you guys would recommend around that price range
Lumines is my favorite puzzle/casual game of all time. Not sure if it's $10 or $15 but worth it if you're into that stuff either way.

Super Stardust HD and Everyday Shooter are both amazingly good dual-stick arcade shooters.

The Oddworld HD remakes are on there if you don't have them for PC.

Mega Man 9 is lovely for people like me who grew up on the NES games as a kid.

I absolutely love the platformer Outland. It's kind of like a cross between Super Metroid and Ikaruga. I believe it's 9.99.
Castle Crashers made its way to PSN that is pretty fun.
Those Joe Danger games are also pretty fun, not sure if JD1 or JD2 is better.

If you have psn+ you will get more then enough free games to take your time!

edit: just google, found a list, not sure if it is up to date, or even lists current prices

I think there's an Atlus PSP game sale going on.
If you don't have it already, http://us.playstation.com/games/alundra-ps3-psp.html is one of the titles I enjoyed immensely. The difficulty is up there with frustrating puzzles, traps, nice enemies...with a very good storyline. It's an easy one to have not heard of, so it's always a good recommendation. :>

I would not get anything that you can find on PC, personally. Kind of a waste to not spend it on console exclusives. That includes the suggested Castle Crashers and Oddworlds.

edit: Also note that I don't own a PS3 or Vita, if that makes any difference. I stopped at the PS2 :P

PSONE Classics like Twisted metal 2, FF9, And Legend of Dragoon are my reccomendations.

If he can afford Persona 3's PSP version, he should get it. That game is fucking incredible. I can't speak to the quality of the port myself, since I played the PS2 FES version but I hear it's a solid port and it also gives you Persona 4's feature of controlling the other party members, iirc, which is pretty handy.

Also, I think the other Persona games are on there, as well, and they're all pretty great though the first one is dated in a few of ways (primarily navigating the overworld) now

Yeah I was thinking about Dragoon since I never got to finish it, every time I played it on the ps1 there was always errors where I couldn't get passed disc 2 no matter how many copies I tried.

Is the Persona series really that good?
A Space Shooter For 2 Bucks is pretty fun and it only costs... 2 bucks.

Well, I enjoyed Persona 2-4 so much so that I went to all the effort to import Persona 1 on UMD from Canada.

On the topic of PSN minis - Monsters (Probably) Stole My Princess.

If you like JRPGs at all, you would be missing out in a large way by not playing Persona 3 and 4 (I haven't played Persona 2 yet. Keep forgetting it's on the PSN now). No other RPG that I know of blends so many different elements flawlessly while simultaneously deviating from the standard RPG formula in a few ways. The only issue I had with Persona 3 which, like I said, IIRC, is fixed in the PSP version, was the lack of control over the other members in your party and only Persona 3 has that issue.

I'll watch some gameplay on it and see if it is something I would like, I do like JRPG's but not all but will definitely keep it in mind
