Dragon Age / Witcher mechanics in a science fiction universe would be interesting as those done so far are only shallow aRPGs.

WTF: Witch Effect?
The Masser?
Firefly!!!

Please let CDProject make a Space-Western RPG in the Firefly/Serenity setting!
scampywiak the thing is , the ones who make cyberpunk 2077 are another team from CDPR, I was thinking the team that does Witcher 3 could work on a space opera rpg after they finish the world on W3 , which is rumored to come out Q1or Q2 in 2014 , so a year from now

They already said the whole team will shift to CP 2077 once TW3 is done. I strongly feel those two IP's will keep them busy for years.

Xythez: Imagine if you are a bounty hunter with your own little ship and you are free to explore the stars. Go to different planets, meet new aliens and learn about their cultures, do quests and see the story. Get credits and upgrade your ship so you can make it bigger and bring a crew which will become your party.

DreadMoth: You might like , if you're willing to put in a bit of effort to install sound and translation fixes.
Hmm, thanks for pointing this game out! [url=http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1757963851/planet-explorers]Planet Explorers may also be of interest. I at least backed it, haven't tried the Alpha yet though. But you guys can already give it a try :)
Or Witcher in the Honor Harrington universe. It would be space opera at its most operatic and spacial mode ever possible.
