I'm just glad they're finally here (or at least starting to arrive).

timppu: You are so predictable.

When the EA expansions were missing, you were blaming only GOG for not securing them from EA.
avatar
SimonG: I'm still blaming GOG for fucking up the licensing. I explained it several times why it is very obvious that the fault was on GOGs side, be it voluntary or not.

And we had an EA rep saying month ago that there was no issue from their side.
He/she was talking only for himself, not for whole EA (and that was actually much longer away than a month ago, when an "EA rep" claimed there's no issue on their side). The blue ones said many times that that isn't the message they got from EA when they contacted them about the expansions. Obviously there was _some_ issue still on EA's side too, otherwise they would have just released them for GOG.

Now that GOG went the extra mile to sort it out with EA, still no credit to GOG? It is quite obvious it was GOG who was active in this case getting it sorted out.

Like said, you are quite predictable even for a troll.

SimonG: GOG rushed to get those out before Christmas. Which would be really awesome on GOGs part.

or

GOG held them back until Christmas for a nice PR stunt.
Out of these two PR stunt, but I think it was part of deal between EA and GOG, to make sales higher.

tfishell: I want to believe. :/

TheJoe: Just check out Alpha Centauri... go on. You know you want to.
avatar
Foxhack: Uh. The "new stuff" notifier is broken for me, so I have no idea what you mean.
avatar
TheJoe: There was no notification for whatever reason. Pretty silly considering this is really huge.
We wanted to make the news big today. So there will be a post (and notifications, I believe) today.
Notifications are triggered manually by mods / gog staff.

Your games shelves will be probably all in red when they make an annoucement.

Unless you held out on buying any EA games with missing expansions.

Then you will be like "OMG I need to buy them now!"
Alien Crossfire? Awesomeness!

TurnipSlayerr: You know another TurnipSlayer?
It was kinda a nickname, but it stuck. :D

If you'd like to hear the full story feel free to PM me. :)

Heresy!
This is great news. I'm glad they got this done and many thanks to whomever was involved in working it out. :D

Wallet voting! I also haven't bought a single modern indie on GawG.

TurnipSlayerr: We were wondering if anyone would notice them before.

Bought Alpha Centauri now, it was a no-brainer even though I do have the retail version (with the expansion pack) already.

Decided to finally get the Bullfrog games too, even if their expansion pack status still seems unclear. Hopefully they come soon, albeit for most of them I have retail expansions already.

Next on the line: the Ubisoft games with missing expansions, like Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon?

Oh and GOG: FIX YOUR BILLING SYSTEM! The eternally spinning purchase page seems to be a common occurence now, and yes I got double billed yesterday when I tried a purchase twice (support promised to fix it).

Today I also got stuck in the purchase page (no confirmation page), but when I checked my email and My Games in another window, the purchase had gone through, and I could exit the purchase page.

It seems to be very prone to this when there are big sales. The normal weekend sales etc. always work fine for me, but these big sales... Double charging should just not happen, ever, even in error cases.
