mondo84: Since those are older games and not too graphically intensive, I'd recommend a laptop with an AMD Trinity APU (accelerated processing unit). AMD's integrated GPUs are a step ahead of Intel's and can also do some light gaming for recent releases on low-medium settings at 720p resolutions.

But, if you plan to do anything more CPU-intensive (strategy games like Civ V can be demanding for the CPU), an Intel CPU + integrated graphics (or possibly dedicated graphics) might be better. There are a lot more choices among Intel laptops. I've heard good things about Dell's recent Inspiron systems, such as this one:

Finding laptops these days is tough, with so many different configurations, naming schemes (. ultrabook vs. laptop).
Do you prefer a certain form factor, screen size, or other characteristic? Do you need an optical drive, or would you rather save the space and weight? How about storage - do you want something with solid state storage, or a standard mechanical hard drive?
First of all, thank you for the reply. I guess I'm not that concerned about screen size so long as its bigger than 11'. I don't need an optical drive since I plan on downloading games digitally, and the storage I could go with the standard. I was looking at that Acer aspire and it looks like a good choice. But tell me, what do you think about this HP DV 6.
