I also forgot to check the gift box and then just wrote support! They wrote back within 3 hours or so! No problems! =)

Psyringe: Well, even if it were downloaded, the customer could still apply for the 30-day discount, get their money back, and re-buy the game as a gift. Or get their money back period.

But yeah, it's always nicer if the game is obviously untouched.
That money back guarantee requires there to be a compatibility issue, not an I already have the game or don't like it issue. I'm sure the OP would have to work with tech support to verify that the game won't run.

I kind of wish they'd default to making it a gift unless you opt out. It would probably solve a lot of headaches as you can always redeem the gift yourself, in fact I generally do that when I don't want to play a game immediately.

That's a good idea actually, also thought about it. They at least could implement it as an option,
