blotunga: My favorite is this (not a real ad though): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xuxO6CZptck
Oh yes the IT crowd!! Tought me many things about computers. Some real, some not.

But yes, affordable prices is the key.
Too late guys... too late!!

PS
Dave Butler is the ultimate geek
OMFG that was amazing!

i thought it was going good when we were flying through the city (how could it possible get better...), but then dancing with the Klingons and teh Warez Weasel. o_O
Affordable prices AND DRM-Free did the trick for me. And if something's not available DRM-free then I won't feel ashamed. DRM costs a lot; money that could be better spent on making the game better.
It must be dead for many decades now, someone should finally bury it. ;)

True, but I just pass on DRMed games, because there is enough stuff without it flying around by now.

I still love "Home Fucking Is Killing Prostitution". So stand up and do something, it is getting serious!
oh man, i will never copy again any floppy!
This was the first thing I saw today upon waking. Pure gold. Thanks for that. :)
Haha, man that was epic, thank you for that! :-) Especially love that at the end they give you explicit permission to copy this video. :-D
I remember those screens old DOS games would show right after you quit a game telling you not to make copies, particularly the Doom games that say that anyone who copies their games will go to Hell.
Then, as everybody laughed at this ad, they switched to the menacing "you wouldn't steal a car.." XD

So did they pay Paramount to use the Klingons or, you know, just copy them?

And why is hip-hop always the go-to style for trying to make some public service message sound cool? Everyone knows that only works when coupled with sentient raisins.

Still, it's a catchy tune. I'll have to see if an MP3 pirate site has a copy of it.

Oh.

I wonder what they will come up with once a car is copyable with an affordable, personal 3D printer.

oldschool: Now it should read; don't go to Pirate Bay ya swab! Things were much simpler back then :)

JMich: Yeap. Pop an empty tape on the recorder, tune to a specific station, then record the program being broadcasted. File sharing without internet.
Despite Downloading emulators, I have never in my life copied anything.

I never Burned Music in CDs and since I don't have an Ipod or any phones I never downloaded music from whatever website you get them for free.

Never Pirated a Movie both Physically and Digitally.

They all sound quite complicated and time consuming.

Never went to the Pirate Bay to download PC games.

"The end of the computer age, mwahahahaha!" Holy cow, they're not kidding...

And I thought only Amiga made it possible!
