Zeewolf: It's really the lack of a decent user interface which keeps me away from Dwarf Fortress. It really seems like a wonderful game, and I certainly don't mind the ASCII, but unless they make the interface easier to use, I'll have to pass.

Since I keep hearing good things about this game, and am quite happy with ASCII, I need to check it out at least. Graphics? pah! :)

the bump mapping on that is flawless
