It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Just to clarify.

I'm talking about the WINDOWS EXPLORER not the Internet Explorer. Yes there is a difference!
All of those suggesting that I'm using Firefox instead of Windows Explorer please tell me how to do so, that would be more than awesome but I doubt Windows 7 would like that...

Anyway just for the record:
As an internet-browser I'm using Firefox and Chrome on my "game rig", Opera on my mobile and Safari & Chrome on my buisness laptop.

I only use IE (Internet Explorer) to instally any of the aforementioned browsers.

That said, the Windows Explorer is something different. Obviously it has something to do with my configuration but that doesn't change the fact that my Windows Explorer works perfectly fine until I open up Steam and browse some games or use one of the shortcuts from the desktop to play a Game on Steam.
Then my WINDOWS EXPLORER crashes and restarts continusly causing distrubing lags in the midst of the game.

F1ach: lol I read it as IE instead of WE, nice catch, have some plussage :)
Thanks ;-)

It's just that lots of people are yelling at him for various reasons. They might as well yell at him for something he actually said, rather than something he didn't.
It's because Valve wants you to browse everything (including your hard drive) only through their client.

It's like ChromeOS , but it's forced.

Thank you very much for your clarification.
But just let them yell at me for using Internet Explorer. It makes their own insulting replies laughably silly.
I'm not here to debate whether Steam is Lawful Good, True Neutral or Chaotic Evil.
I have my opinion of Steam and I'm not forcing it on anyone else.
I tried to write down my latest experience in a humorous way. If some don't get it, it's not a problem

Licurg: Yeah, I do - Stop using Steam, and stop using IE.

Wishbone: He said Windows Explorer, not Internet Explorer. Windows Explorer is responsible for navigating the Windows file system, and is what shows your running windows and the icons on your desktop. That's kind of a difficult thing to go without on a Windows machine.
*Re-reads the OP* I could've sworn it said "Internet Explorer". Ah well, he still shouldn't use Steam :)

Licurg: Yeah, I do - Stop using Steam, and stop using IE. Get any games that aren't on GOG from the pirate bay, and use Firefox as your browser.
Here is an even better idea: don't play the games at all. If you pirate the games and then spread the word about the game you are still contributing to word-of-mouth advertising.

Terpor: Steam is such a "evil" platform, because they are refunding money to all of the WarZ customers who ever bought that damn game.
They refunded money to people who bought a defective product. Where I live that pracice is required by the law, if they didn't refund people it would be illegal.

Ahhh, just when I was coming with a trident and a torch ;P (jk)

I knew you were talking about the other explorer :P. Anyways, I used to have problems with it years ago, but it was strange since some friends wouldn´t have that, I think every computer is a world of its own due to everyone installing different things that may be causing problems among each other, or maybe other issues. There´s nothing that a "format c:\" can´t fix, and if it doesn´t, ohh well.
