About the steam cards thing, at first I thought it was a dumb idea, but now I think it's actually a brilliant move on steam's part. It reminds me of that steam Christmas sale where people bought games they didn't want just to earn coal from them. But that only lasted for a few weeks, now steam can con people into buying random games all year round :P

As for why we're not funding the pistol gun, I'd like to point out it's very very small caliber bullet, which is evident by the barrel on top. It also have an issue of the trigger still be accessible while it's holstered, meaning it's as bad as any other gun you stick in your pants but with the bonus that you can cut your balls off if that little sheath falls off, if you live in a conceal weapon state. Also, inexperienced users would have their fingers at risk since the preferred way to hold a gun is the same way police are trained, two hands held on the gun, and having a knife gives the risk that if you accidentally grip to loose or habit to fire it in the middle of a yawn it might still jump out of your hands and hit you in the face. Finally, since the law is merited on self defense and you carry this thing on your person, shooting someone (If it actually would kill them) would be tantamount to giving yourself a prison sentence, you can't prove intent or danger....... And I'm fairly certain if you look at that gun it's a one piece replica made of aluminum and can't fire.

I'm ambivalent about the whole Steam Trading Card thing that's going on now. All it means for me is to play a certain game for about an hour, get 4 cards, and sell or trade them if I want to. I don't see myself trying to get a full set to make a badge out of them anytime soon.

1. Steam cards. I have none of the games except Don't Starve. Got 3 cards I think for just playing it but don't know what I need to do to get the rest. I guess you can say I know next to nothing about the cards.
2. Less funding for violent objects would be better imo.
3. Like Steamcards, don't pay attention to Kick Starters or Greenlight. If something is released that interests me, I'll look into it then. Like mentioned earlier, donations to human causes would be more worthwhile.
4. Ode to Ian - yada yada yada.
