langurmonkey: LOL I wonder how Licurg will react to this.

bevinator: Licurg will react as he always does: predictably.
Hopefully he will understand my situation that the game does not work and shuts off by itself and my lack of skills to install a patch.

I kept it secret for awhile but now the truth is out :(

Elmofongo: Rainbow Six 1: bought it for my love of tactical shooters and played rainbow six 3, but I just cannot get myself to play this game at all because it feels old, outdated, and aged in a bad way, I mostly handle old games with no problems, but Rainbow Six 1 is to much for me. I wonder if Arma: Cold War Assault is any better aged.

StingingVelvet: Quite a few for me like this, games from before my time that I just can't get used to. I started with shooters and adventure games really early on but I didn't play RPGs until Fallout, so early RPGs I buy here are really hit and miss.

I tried playing Might and Magic World of Xeen but it's just too old for me. Same with Ishtar and some others. Betrayal at Krondor I plan to try again but my first attempt was similar.

It's hard to go backwards
I've found myself being this way sometimes, even though I was around for all of the oldies. Sometimes the graphics are so bad I can barely make out what I'm looking at and sometimes I think it's the sound that irks me, but something really gets me with SOME old games.

Having said that, I do hope you'll give BaK a fair shake. There really is quite a wonderful game (and story) under there if you're willing. However, if you don't much like turn based combat, it's probably never going to happen for you.

BaK is one game that I really wish someone would do just a graphical update. Same game, same everything, with today's graphics I think would be awesome and a big hit with younger folks. It's really quite a good game. Betrayal at Antara isn't up to the level of Betrayal at Krondor, but is nevertheless quite good it's own right IMO. Avoid Return to Krondor at all costs. The only thing that RtK has that was like it's predecessor is the name Krondor and some of the same character names. And it was just an awful game IMO. Still not really sure what genre it was attempting to be.
Not a single regret, even if I think the game is crap.

You could - I don't know - Try to fix it . Make a thread about it, detail what problems you have, see if someone knows how to fix it....
Hm, let's see ... I didn't really spend much money on these games, but it was still kind of pointless:

- King's Bounty - The Legend: Runs painfully slow on my rig and I'm not even that fond of turn-based strategy games.

- Age of Wonders: Works great but not really my cup of tea (see above). I especially don't like how aggressive the opponents are right from the beginning, hardly leaving me any time and space to breathe, and I don't have much fun with the combats, they take too long and are too hard for someone like me.

- Demon Stone: I didn't expect much of it, but it still managed to underwhelm me. Apart from being too demanding on my low-end rig, I hate the fixed camera angles, and the gameplay seems pretty tedious and boring.

There are other games I haven't really played or enjoyed that much yet, but if I ask myself, which games I wouldn't miss if they were removed from my account, I guess it's mainly those three.

The thing is I don't know coding and such like this:

c:/programs/games
where is that on my computer?

EDIT: Literally I am an old fashioned guy that grew up with console gaming and never have been tech saavy on PC games with mods and patchs :(

That's not coding, it's just common sense. What OS does the PC use?

Type "c:\programs\games" in your browser's URL bar. If you do it in Internet Explorer 9, it'll open the folder. Other browsers browse the folder. Alternatively, push the Windows button on your keyboard, pick Computer, then drive C, then folder named programs, then the folder named games.
Any of them that were too difficult.
