Quick Summary: old computer's busted, need a new one, don't want to lose the ability to play all my GOG games! Gorky 17 was already dead for me the moment I bought it, and I would prefer it remain the old product in the Shame Corner.

I've currently got a 32 bit Windows XP machine. I'm aiming for Windows 7 Pro on the next one (and so will have Windows XP Mode), but I wanted to know what the advice is on 32 bit vs 64 bit in regards to GOG especially, and if there's anything else I should keep in mind.

On a related subject, while I'm not sure if I can ever get my current computer to turn on again, if I do, I'm going to run Spore's DRM de-registering program. Do any (certainly not many...) other games and applications have a de-registering program like that? Is there a list?
I'm using Windows 7 x64. So far there are no problem with all of GOG games that i owned. But most games that emulated by DOSBox still need a little bit tweaking. If there's any weird in-game behaviour, just make sure to run the game in "administrator mode" and try tinkering with compatibility setting. For example, Star Wolves have this weird gun firing dud and special effect glitch if you not run the game under compatibility mode.

Fair enough, that's something I can re-learn.
They pretty much all work out of the box on Windows 7. Unless it's Interstate '76.

If you have any issues with a game, check the still a work in progress GOGWiki and the individual game forums.
