Protoss: In the tutorial you wrote:
The RUI-01 Harbinger has initiated hurrying maneuvers. While active, her movement will now be d(4) + d(3) = d(7).
Protoss: Sorry, but d(4) + d(3) is not d(7). If you roll two dice you have a different chance for each number than if rolling one. For example there is no possibility to get 1 as a result and only one of the 12 combinations gets a 7 as a result.
What you do is adding sides to one dice, but then please explain it like that. :-)
Yes, that is correct. I see what you mean, but I've thought about it a lot of ways and to me, this is still the best way to show it. If you can think of a better way to make it clear, definitely let me know because I'm all ears!
Perhaps instead of doing "+d(3)" for example, I could change the language to, "+3 to size of die"? That might make it clearer.
The only number that matters is the final number. In this case, d(7).
D(4) + D(3) is shown only because: 1) so you can know how I arrived at the final die number, and 2) so that I remember that d(3) is an "add on" and not part of the base roll. Otherwise, I would likely leave it there forever and keep adding on new numbers, so the ship would be moving d(3,235). LOL.
