Hey, so I can't find my GOG.com folder. As in, it's just gone and disappeared. It's not hidden, and it's not in the recycle bin. I know it's somewhere on my computer, because I haven't gained any disk space. Any shortcuts leading to it are broken, and search function reveals nothing.

Anyone have any idea what could be going on here? I'm not posting this under tech support because I'm guessing it has nothing to do with GOG itself, just some strange thing happening on my end.
Very strange.

When you searched, did you search for the folder or for a file you know is in the folder?
The easiest way for me to find the GoG folder, is after I've downloaded something I right-click on it in the downloader and tell it to open the folder.

Although it SHOULD be at User/My Documents/GoG.com Downloader, it may not be the case so I guess some things to ask.

Do you have/use other profiles on your computer? If so are you in the right profile?
Do you have hidden/system files/folders hidden? (might be hidden by accident)
Is it set to a different drive/folder (Like an external drive), if so, is that plugged in?
There's no use searching for it because I ATE IT! >:D

You cannibal!
I'm going a little out on a limb here, but since the OP calls it the GOG.com folder, I think they aren't talking about the Downloader, but rather one of the installation folders. After all, two of them are called "GOG.com". Either...

C:\GOG Games
C:\Program Files (x86)\GOGcom
C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG.com

...thanks to multiple legacy installers.

Unfortunately, unless the OP was looking in the wrong place, I haven't really helped much.

I've never used legacy installers. And thanks to my experiences with Morrowind on Win7 I don't install games to my Program Files folder; Instead I always use c:/Gog Games/ or c:/games/ depending on if I got it from GoG or Humble Bundle.

But good to bring that up to some of us newer GoG users.

edit: I meant legacy downloader.. I know some of the installers want to put it in program files, but I always force it elsewhere...

Try using WizTree or similar to see your drive contents sorted by size then dig into the larger folders until you find it. It could be you accidentally dragged it into Users or something.
You checked under the fridge ?
Try searching for specific games you know should be in there. I would even suggest searching for specific files of these games (e.g., the *.exe files you can find in the Properties of the shortcuts for these games).

Also, what version of Windows do you use? In my experience, the search function in Windows 8 is completely unusable. Maybe you should try some third-party search (I use Total Commander for that).
Launch WIndows Explorer, click on "My Computer", click in upper right corner of window "Search" field, type "GOG", hit ENTER then wait until it scans all of the connected storage in the machine. If any particular thing that had "GOG" in the name is on the computer somewhere it should turn up in the search results if it is still there, although it might take a while depending on how much disk space the machine has and how fast the drives are.

Exactly. My Program Files\GOG.com still exists, but that only has a few of my GOG games (like you said, from legacy installers). Most of my GOG stuff was in C:\GOG Games, which has vanished. Again, my harddrive is just as full as it used to be, so it has to be around here somewhere. The last time I saw the folder was before I ran a big anti-malware scan, but I don't see how that could have moved my entire GOG Games folder, and besides, I checked the Quarantined files, nothing GOG related in there.

Computer was recently defragged and everything.

I'll try running a search again.
Good news! I found it!

It was mysteriously moved to another folder.

See if the folder is hidden. There was a malware at some point that hid each item in a folder and created a link to run the malware and open the folder, which does also make it harder for others to understand what has happened.

Edit: Ah, found it. Ignore me then :)
