triock: Nah, no reason to support those scumbags at HB, buy it on Groupees. :p

ET3D: No reason to support the scumbags at Groupees. Just buy it on GOG. :D
Strangely I don't see Little Dew come up on GOG when I type it into the search bar; maybe it's just my outdated brower being quirky.

Because the game is ittle Dew with no L at the start. This got me a time or two when it came out when I was searching for the game page here.

nijuu: Bundles are NOT a standard way to sell indie games.
You should tell that to indie developers. :P

EDIT: If I remember correctly, you didn't buy the Real Texas on GOG during the Summer Sale, but you bought it when it appeared on IGS, right? I believe that even people who just want to own every game on GOG will not buy games that have appeared DRM-free on bundles, unless they are on some serious sale. I wish we did have the numbers to check that, it would be interesting.
As for the Humble store, you usually get a DRM-free version of the game and a Steam key and the developer gets a bigger cut. It makes sense that people will go that way, especially in cases where the GOG extras are weak. Soundtrack sampler? :/

The soundtrack business with indie games is a bit annoying - its the devs trying to squeeze every last cent from their games so charge for soundtrack (5-10 bucks usually if past prices are anything to judge by). Do have to wonder why GOG cant get soundtracks for some games included when HB can especially at the prices the games sell on here.

That's not really fair. Most of the time for indie games the soundtracks are made by indie composers who are also trying to make a living making music. So, the composers get to decide how to sell the soundtrack.

. I think everyone can tell over the last few years game devs/companies (not just talking indies here) have thought "Hey, people actually like the music in games and want to buy them outside the game" and we have slowly started to see game music being sold either bundled with a game (Steam seems to charge extra for a game soundtrack and they have been selling more games like this) or separately (many are being sold on places like bandcamp etc). So with at least indie games , we are unlikely to see proper soundtracks included as a freebie anymore (see all the 'demo' 'sampler' tracks). And yes i cant blame music composers.. fair enough. I guess its just disappointing to see halfbaked tracks come with gog versions of indie games :/. I really do wonder why GOG doesnt offer soundtracks to indie games for an additional fee if they cant get the soundtrack included with game sold?.

Because until Dragon Commander, GOG didn't support different editions of the same game. Since they do now support such a thing, it is possible that we will eventually see "Normal Edition" and "Soundtrack Edition", with all the uproar that will bring to the forums.

People will whinge about paying extra for soundtracks for indie games.. but thats the reality now :/. On the positive side, people like me wont have to whine about the 'demo' or 'sample' tracks which has been prevalent for while now, anymore :D
