25 Sierra Quests--75 Percent Off

It's Monday, so many of you are probably wondering what to do during the week before Christmas. It's a little bit too early to prepare all the foods and drinks, and a little bit too late to do any actual work. That is why we have prepared a bundle of Quests for you and mind that these are not just some regular quests you can expect from any other average digital distributor, oh no, these are [url=http://www.gog.com/promo/quest_for_sierra_bundle]Quests from Sierra Entertainment--the epicest, romanticest, adventurousest, and most imaginativest quests ever known to a fan of video games. Quests like Quest for Glory 1-5, widely considered as one of the best RPG adventure series in known and unknown history. For the next 24 hours only, until Tuesday December 18 at 3 PM GMT, 25 different Quest games are available in a sweet 75% off bundle for less than $20!

What's in the bundle? We're glad you asked!
King’s Quest is a classic series created by Roberta Williams of Sierra Entertainment in the so-called “golden days” of adventure games. They chronicle the history of the Royal House of Daventry in a world inspired by fairy tales and mythology. Get King’s Quest 1+2+3, King's Quest 4+5+6, and King's Quest 7+8, all in one wholesome bundle.

Police Quest 1+2+3+4, all four designed by former policemen, are adventure games that put you in the shoes of California homicide detective. Police Quest: SWAT 1+2 is a non-typical compilation, because SWAT 1 is an FMV tactical SWAT-assault simulation and SWAT 2 is a real-time strategy. However, all Police Quest games are a must-buy for all those interested inthe nitty-gritty of actual police work, and they're part of a healthy gamer's Christmas shopping.

Space Quest - Venture through the Galaxy and fight for truth, justice, and really clean floors. A silly sense of humor, wacky storyline, Star Wars and Star Trek parodies, and janitor (!) Roger Wilco as the main character who repeatedly saves the universe by accident -- you can find all of this and even more in Space Quest 1+2+3 or Space Quest 4+5+6, all along with the other incredible games in this bundle, at one great price.

More classic adventure games than you can shake a stick at, this bundle hits you right in the nostalgia center with 75% off savings that are better than any workshop of elves could construct!

Red_Avatar: (except for, once again, King's Quest 1-4 which looked like a 5 year old drew the backgrounds)
Quite a massive improvement after the 2 year old's style they started with https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Pv4nrNu744

Red_Avatar: King's Quest 1 - 4 are pretty bad and so is SWAT 1 but I still couldn't stop myself from buying everything - even though I already have them in original boxes both separately (except for one or two) and as collector editions released in the late 90's.

What I love the most about these adventures (although LSL is not part of it sadly enough), is how skilled Sierra were at creating imaginative locations (except for, once again, King's Quest 1-4 which looked like a 5 year old drew the backgrounds). Space Quest III especially has some stunning artwork considering it's an EGA game.
Well I've heard some good things about SWAT2 but due to my completionist nature I always try to play games in order in a series, and the SWAT 1+2 bundle was actually the main reason why I bought this bundle as I wanted that game in my collection for a while now

Another reason is because I want to finally try out the KQ series, because I heard a lot of great things about the QFG series and because this is pretty good value overall, after having a look online, 20 bucks is the approximate price you would pay (excluding shipping) if you bought these games on Disks

It's pretty impressive how much the series progressed with installments...

I think the biggest change based on what I see what in KQ5, Jontron did a pretty good review for it...

Yeah, I think it was obvious they didn't have skilled artists on-board at first - the first King's Quest, while technically limited, had some really badly drawn areas - KQ4 was getting better and since KQ5, we had brilliantly painted backdrops.
Still looking for a straight trade for a 75% off gift copy of Quest For Glory. Have Steam copies of Torchlight, Dwarfs, Jamestown, and Serious Sam: TRE.

tinyE: Strangly enough I downloaded an old Larry game the other day thinking it would be a great trip down memory lane. Five minutes later I was wondering what the hell I ever saw in it to begin with.
The same could be said for any of these old school Sierra titles. Goofy puzzles, trial & error gameplay, insta-death... That said, I don't think Larry was much better or worse than any of the other 'Quest' games, because when you get down to pins and needles they were all pretty mediocre. Still, I love the Larry games and I'd gladly fart in somebody's eye and put it on Youtube to get them here on GOG.
I hope Codemasters decides to sell Leisure Suit Larry on GOG soon. I hope if Replay Games' remake sells well, that they will consider putting it on GOG. What was the last release by Codemaster on GOG.

Must. Resist. A little longer. Such a good deal, but I shouldn't spend the money!

Sorry, GoG. I completely forgot to sign in for Day 6, but I would have bought this bundle if I wasn't so forgetful, I tell you...

Perhaps some day some time you could bring the same bundle on another period (please?)

Oh, well, moving on to day 7...
In October there was a straight 60% off sale on pretty much this same lineup. I got Quest for Glory and King's Quest 7+8 then, since I have King's Quest 1-7 and Space Quest on disk, and am not interested in the Police Quest games.

I do hope they repeat some of these near the end of the sale, since i have missed out on this both times it has been offered (on day 6 and during the end of the world sale) due to being away from home and only having the company credit card >.<

At least the Ultima one might show up again since it hasn't been up for offer during the daily sales yet, just in this end of the world one.

Don't you remember your known credit card number? You could use paypal to remember your card details
