The End Might be Near*. Better Play Some Games!

We don't really know if the Mayans were right
Will the 21st be the Earth's final night?
If it really is, we know we'd want to be
Spending our last hours enjoyably

The end of the world, and the bundles we bring
Are a wondrous package--an incredible thing
All the daily deals for the whole month today shine
We've even brought ones from the future in asynchronous time

Of all of the days of the year 2012
This is the one for gamers just like yourselves
To pick up some games before the world ends
And spend your last day having fun times with friends

Some say the world ends in fire--or ice
We think that neither ending sounds nice
If the world has to end--neither frozen nor flaming
The world should end in a way that says: gaming!

There's and [url=https://secure.gog.com/gamecard/the_witcher_2]Witcher, and and [url=https://secure.gog.com/gamecard/duke_nukem_3d_atomic_edition]Duke
And Deus Ex, , or [url=https://secure.gog.com/gamecard/thief_gold]Thief
So before the world leaders launch thousands of nukes
Spend a few moments and suspend disbelief

Theme Hospital, , [url=https://secure.gog.com/gamecard/caesar_3]Caesar 3 and Trine
It sure was nice living, but we're just out of time
Ultima Games, from 1 to game 9
The aliens are invading--we must hold the line!

, [url=https://secure.gog.com/gamecard/wing_commander_1_2]Wing Commander, and indie FTL
Crusaders and Heroes of Magic and Might
The end is approaching boys; see you in hell
Bruce Willis can't save us from this meteorite

Quests for Kings and for Space and for Heroes and Glory
and [url=http://www.gog.com/promo/telltale_adventures]Telltale
The abyss is erupting--this will surely be gory
Frogs are raining down in amphibious hail

The world may be ending, our last day is nigh
So take this last chance to play games 'till you die!

*GOG.com in no way endorses The End of The World. We like it here. If you have a Death Star, a Death Ray, or a fleet of Cyber T-rexes with Lasers, please don't destroy the Earth right now. At least wait until we release that game that everyone's waiting for. And that one, too. No, that one probably will never happen.
Hm, tried making a purchase twice, on different browsers, and in both cases I got the endless spinning circle :/
Oh well, guess I'll get them tomorrow morning.
Great sale for my birthday! thanks gog, you didn't forget about it!
Just completed the late halloween bundle :)
I am taking my money with me for use in the afterlife!
The announcement somehow says that Wing Commander was inlcuded in this sale, somehow I don't find it?

kalirion: See, this is what indie bundles have done to me - I am avoiding purchasing some games (Wallace & Gromit, Batck to the Future, FTL) because I expect them to be in a bundle within a year
avatar
adamzs: FTL probably, but BttF and W&G... naaah, don't think so.
Why not? Other telltale games were. Licensing issues?
Alrighty then, I see that GOG went completley nuts.

You just gotta love them.

Keep your email open and just wait for the confirmation message. Sometimes the page seems to hang up, but then the order actually went through.

Indie Royale might offer them as Steam keys. DRM-free, I dunno. Although I have to admit the best p&c adventure published by Telltale that I've played so far - namely Hector, Badge of Carnage - was included in IR as a DRM-free download (but they didn't develop it themselves).

Generally waiting for Telltale games to appear in indie bundles seems a much better option than buying from them directly. Even though their online activation launchers have caused me not a few problems, they explicitly stated that they currently have no plans to offer DRM-free versions to their direct customers, not even of the games that were DRM-free in Indie Royale or released on GOG. Boooh!

Have had it happen to me quite often, but all the other times the cart was emptied, and the games were in my account. This is one of the few times that the cart retains its contents, thus the blockage is somewhere earlier in the pipeline. Propably my bank having problems, since I had troubles using it yesterday near this time as well. If it doesn't work tomorrow morning, I'll grab them through paypal.
Thank you for the concern though :)
The Daedalic sale is great. All games are good and interesting and 75% off is really a great reduction. I think from now on I will only buy during 75% off sales.

Huh, I didn't know that.

That explains it. I tend to follow HIB and not pay too much attention to other bundles nowadays. Gotta pay more attention.
OMG this is what I call an awesome promo ! Thank you!!!

I was kind of hoping there would be a discount on Deponia 2, too. Not 75%, maybe even less than 50% but at least some. I'm still kind of sore about their move to add the German language only after the initial discount was over. Don't tell me it wasn't calculation.

Since TWW and Dark Eye are available only as translations and I already have all the other games, I much preferred buying A New Beginning for 50% off.

Indie Royale is usually really good, but they've been going downhill lately by recycling games from other bundles, and now even from their own bundles. Besides Hector they've also had both Puzzle Agents and Sam & Max The Devil's Playhouse.

Indie Royale is also a sure spot to find Wadjet Eye titles. So far they've had Gemini Rue, Blackwell 1-3, The Shivah and Puzzle Bots.

Weren't the Indie RPGs "turned into" a bundle a bit after the sale began? I remember it saying "From 3.74" earlier.
