I'm serious. You can now create a party just for Windows 7 and there will be cake and candy and strippers and beer and Mountain Dew! And the winners of the best parties will win a special version of Windows 7 AND a Party Pack!
People are actually having parties for operating systems now? What is this world coming to?
I don't have the means to host, but I'd love to go to one.
Well I could host an xbox live party, not sure how that'd help
Actually if I was social, had the space and if this wasn't obviously going to be capital cities only, I'd host one. Free copy of Win 7 Ultimate? Hell yes I'd host one

Yeah, but Ubuntu isn't an OS, it's a freaking way of life.

That's until you get bored and switch to Xubuntu instead.

Now I'm a nerd, I've been a nerd for a long time, in fact I've probably been a nerd for about twice as long as you've been alive. Computers in one form or another are basically my entire life so I hope you understand just what I mean when I say that calling a distro of linux "a freaking way of life" is just SAD.
Besides, SUSE is way better than ubuntu!
All of you are morons, Gentoo is obviously superior! :P
Also, no launch party for me, sounds too much like a Tupperware party for my manhood to stomach it.

Gentoo <3
Firefox has launch parties too.
Yeah but thats the team that makes it rather than end users getting together and throwing a shindig to celebrate the launch of version 3.2 of a web browser
At least I HOPE so

This just gave me an idea: Let's make a GOG 1.0 launch party! XD
Let there be GOG cake!
We'd need a release date for the non-beta version surely

Agreed. I've been using Gentoo for years and I love it!
However, I won't get drawn into "my OS is better than your OS" arguments. :-)
Linux is tops but I like XP for gaming and a few choice tools I use - other than that, not found a reason to use Vista and can't think of any need for Windows 7 currently.
But if others like Vista and Windows 7, then good luck to them.

AND they get cake, from the MS Explorer team no less.
Also vice versa earlier.
