Aver: I always liked EA too. And I don't really care what people love or hate, they are just too random to care. Valve forced us to sign contract that was saying that we will never sue them. They are also biggest provider of DRM on the world, yet people love Valve. I guess you have to do bad things in silly hat and people won't notice. ;)

Randalator: I haven't bought a single Valve game since they introduced Steam and I never will...
But what about the free cake?
The sad part after this bundle is between steam fanboys mad that EA won't release games on steam and Nintendo fans mad over EA ditching the Wii U, they will still win the worst company award again.

Current bundle stats:

Total payments: $3,528,397.01
Number of purchases: 744,552

Just insane for it to be selling so well.
By the way, here are the links for free stuff in The Sims 3 store, if you're interested:

Inversely, it can be argued that people are more likely to get EA games now that they know they don't have to pay EA for them. I picked this bundle up, but only because it was for charity and only because it really was so cheap. A euro a game is about what I'd paytops for an Origin game, and I certainly wouldn't have bought any of these games on Origin otherwise. My $5 is basically just to give Battlefield 3 a crack.

timppu: *snip*

Then again, some like KneeTheCap feel that having The Witcher 2 on both Steam and GOG is more value than having it only on GOG, so I presume that similarly having e.g. Mirror's Edge in both Steam and Origin is also "more value"?

Myes, I love you too. Let's get married and make lots and lots of babies?

And on-topic, an awesome bundle, there's no denying it. Everyone, go get it and support chariteh!

xxxIndyxxx: jeez what a piece of crap. Decided to give battlefield 3 a go since i could buy it cheap with the bundle. Took a while to get it validated, then when i start to play some website laucher thing pops up. You actually have to start your game using a website. Then the campaign doesn't lauch, after some searching and trying some stuff it finally works. After 30 mins the game crashed and no i can't get to campaign to launch anymore and then they question why people didn't like it....
Yup!. The browser page at login is a hunk of junk, but actual game itself for multiplayer is pretty good, although i imagine many have moved onto the expansions etc. I game up on it after a few months...
I guess the question isn't if it will be the most sold Humble Bundle, but if it will break that mark on day 1!

Rather well for a bundle that contains games from the company that everyone apparently hates.

EA - you now sell your good games cheaply and give the money to charity... YOU BASTERDS... *shake fist*
I will buy your bundle in protest.

(sigh, I used to play this clip from an EA executive meeting, but... sigh...)
Okay, can anybody give me an overview which of the Steam games have another layer of DRM, and which ones don't? I'm confused about that.

But now you can get the games without giving EA a single whatever your local currency is, so you can hate EA and still get their games.
I find it disgusting that last time there was a steam-only bundle, and this time they have lowered themselves even more, and is offering an origin-bundle. What's next?

What I found good about Humble bundle, to begin with, was their cross platform support and DRM-free games. If they are moving in the direction of offering neither, they are dead to me. I'll just have to hope GOG start supporting Linux games instead.

Not particularly. Loads of people who don't have these games, either not on Origin, or because they are sold on Origin, or because they simply were still too highly priced (particularly outside of the US)

Add to that it's getting stockpiled for selling the keys of relatively valuable games both Steam and Origin. It's no surprise this thing is selling well.

For EA particularly including Sims 3 was a smart move, as it makes it extremely likely people will pick up the expansions on Origin instead of Steam, as to get them on Steam, requires the base game on Steam. Preventing that sale basically prevents the expansions being sold there as well.

And of course in itself it'll be raising the amount of people who have some games on Origin by a large amount.

Haven't you heard? The worst company in the world, voted mostly by /v/ and the other less intelligent parts of the internet.
