SILENT HUNTER® 2

I'm sure I will have another half dozen next payday. Man, the wife is gonna kill me! LOL!

tinyE: I suck at Silent Hunter? What is your secret? Oh, you must have served in that war!
It takes a lot of patience. Watch das Boot, (the uncut 293 minute extended version) to get a feel for how to handle a WW2 era sub. Lot's of waiting for the convoy to pass in front of you, fire on the biggest container ship, and after firing slowly move out of there while diving to the depth the limit of your sub. Your problem is probably trying to fire on every ship of the convoy, which eventually (after several passes) you will do. Also, before you attempt to fire, make sure your batteries are fully charged. Nothing like getting into position and trying to evade while your batteries are depleted.

No my problem was not knowing how to run an actual U-Boat. You more or less have to be qualified to do that in order to play that game. :P
That's a seriously cool list, badjasper. I want to try out IL-2 and Nexus myself, adding those on my list. And welcome, I really like how GOG is closing the generational gap in gaming, it's pretty awesome :]
You missed out on the D&D sale, but make sure you get all of the Infinity Engine games (Baldur's Gate 1 + 2, Icewind Dale 1 + 2, Planescape Torment). For $4.99 each, they're one of the best values for sheer gameplay and enjoyment on GOG.
Welcome! Have fun, and I hope to see you some more on the forums :)

badjasper: Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! I jumped the gun last night and grabbed the full Myst series for 10 bucks. Wife was asleep ;)

HomerSimpson: I have this mental picture in my head of Bad Jasper gleefully clicking away on the computer when his wife comes down the steps unnoticed:

Mrs. Bad Jasper: "What do you think you're doing?!"

Bad Jasper (flustered, drops the mouse, knocks over the drink by his arm): "Wha-?! Um...nothing...nothing. Just...you know....looking up stuff."

Mrs. Bad Jasper: "Are you looking at boobies again?!"

Bad Jasper (thinking quickly, hangs his head), "Yes."

Mrs. Bad Jasper (seemingly satisfied): "Well...all right, then. Just so long as you're not spending more money on those stupid old games on that website wih the weird people."
Hmmmm. It's obvious by the near perfect description of a conversation with my wife that you are stalking me! LOL! Besides, at my age, I've seen just about every booby there is but, you can never replace hours of fun by looking at a booby! LOL!

I've always loved IL-2. I'm an old combat pilot from the Air Warrior days on Gamestorm. I went through all the MS stuff and some not so big titles but, IL-2 has always been the best in quality and playability.
