I heard about GoG about a year ago but, never actually checked everything out. I joined last week after looking at all my gaming memories in your library. I wound up buying a ton of games and will be getting more every week. Some of my best times playing games happened with the games you have here. Just wanted to say THANKS for bringing back some really fun times for this 50 year old grandpa!

I KID! :P You've only got about ten years on me actually. As mush as I adore it here (I spend ALL day here) I've even had to resort to some Atari 2600 collections and NES Roms to achieve the full "childhood flashback". Welcome to the fold. :D

I feel your pain man...Though my wife prefers (after explaining GOG to her) I occasionally spend money on here than spend $60 a pop on new store-bought games.

That's so awesome ! Now how about Sacrifice, one of the most underrated games ever made ?

You know Licurg, if there's one problem with Sacrifice, it's that you can't correctly get widescreen resolutions like 1920x1080 to work. It's possible to force the game to display at that resolution by hex editing, but apparently it creates a bug with "hidden objects" at the sides of the screen. No one has yet to find the FOV hex values in the exe to fix it (http://www.wsgf.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=61&t=14874&sid=5a8a8c29f9cab98154d375efd3919446&start=10)

Minor issue, certainly forgivable considering how good the game is.

Lol, well I wasn't actually saying it's a "problem", I don't think widescreen monitors even existed when it was out. It's just one of those games which begs for higher resolutions given how great the gameplay still is.

I have this mental picture in my head of Bad Jasper gleefully clicking away on the computer when his wife comes down the steps unnoticed:

Mrs. Bad Jasper: "What do you think you're doing?!"

Bad Jasper (flustered, drops the mouse, knocks over the drink by his arm): "Wha-?! Um...nothing...nothing. Just...you know....looking up stuff."

Mrs. Bad Jasper: "Are you looking at boobies again?!"

Bad Jasper (thinking quickly, hangs his head), "Yes."

Mrs. Bad Jasper (seemingly satisfied): "Well...all right, then. Just so long as you're not spending more money on those stupid old games on that website wih the weird people."

That's such a dumb stereotype, that people who play games are weird...
