bansama: If it were priced at $5 I'd say go get it. It's not bad for a few minutes here and there as a single player game. Especially when there's a custom map such as the one over Christmas which had the custom enemies.

Sadly those don't last long enough to keep any real long term appeal for SP play. If you want to play something like this SP (and you don't have it yet) you'd be better off with Unreal Tournament 2004.
And of course, don't forget that Killing Floor was originally a free UT2K4 mod, so you can try it for free if you have UT2K4. Though the new Killing Floor is better than the original mod.

Dragobr: And since there were no bots and I don't think they added any, playing alone is just no fun at all. Even with bots, it wouldn't improve much, tough.
There is actually a set of mutators that you can get for the game which provides bots for single player gaming. However, you won't get any achievements or perks when using the bots.

There are also some mods being created for single player Killing Floor but I've not tried them so don't know how good they are.

Snickersnack: Also, other than zombies, KF is nothing like L4D.
But, they aren't zombies! They're specimens!

And they aren't zombies in L4D either, they're infected.

A zombie by any other name would smell as sweet.
I caved and bought the game. I'll try singleplayer at first, but, due to what many here have said, I will also venture into multiplayer. Hopefully, I'll have a good time. Many thanks to all of those who responded to my first post.

Ah, good news! Sorry for the late reply, but I find KF has one of the best drop out systems in gaming. You can give ALL of your acquired money to you team-mates, which is awesome in of itself, but what is the icing on the cake is dishing out of the weapons you own. Except from the default pistol, which is useless after you levelled 2-3 times in any class, every other weapon can be dropped.

For these reasons, the guilt from dropping out is heavily lessened, as long as you give a heads up when you are about to leave and distribute the weapons and money, people won't mind.

Added you... I think. I've never actually done it myself before. But yeah, I think I did.

woah, I REALLY beg to differ here. the pistol is one of the best weapons in the game, sure its nothing to an FP are anything really in the higher levels, but I tend to never use another weapon till the FP's come out. It really is absurdly good when in the right hands.
