Fenixp: - Beyond Good and Evil (Action/adventure)
- Fallout (RPG)
- Another World (Platformer)
- Original War (RTS/RPG)
- Blood 1 (FPS)

yeah, I think that sounds quite good. Whatever gets picked, we can throw a different game from a differrent genre next time. All of these can easily be finished in a week, 14 days would be fine. Oh, Trangmar could post a topic in chosen games forum after he picks it to attract more people.
well I had suggested Duke Nukem 3D :)
Just popping in to say I love the idea and I'm totally up for it.

As for games, I have no real preference, having never finished any of the currently listed games (no, not even Fallout, got very very close though).

oh, sorry, I was skimming the topic and totally missed you there :-) Well I'm hardly any sort of organiser, we'll see what Trangmar says, if he even owns any of the two :-)
I will be up for this probably. Especially if Another World or Blood are chose from that list. I have them waiting to be played through.
Michael Abbott (of The Brainy Gamer blog here: http://www.brainygamer.com/the_brainy_gamer/ ) did this a while back, called it "The Vintage Game Club".

It seemed like a good idea, but I never got around to joining in.

I'd certainly be interested in this on GOG, would also be interesting to see the different experiences people have.

I'd prefer shorter games (like adventure games or similar), so I might not join in all of them, but a good mix of games will bring different people in.
I could go for this, on a game to game basis, depending on if the game interests me/if I have the game or desire to purchase it, etc. Are we voting for a game to play now, or are we merely in the suggestion stage?
So the general idea of games I get is

- Beyond Good and Evil (Action/Adventure)
- Fallout (RPG)
- Another World (Platformer)
- Original War (RTS)
- Duke 3D (FPS)

With 'back up' games:
- Betrayal at Krondor
- Blood

The idea of the back up games is that if an RPG is chosen this time then an RPG will replace it for next time (Fallout -> Betrayal). We'll probably have it skip a generation though so we're not playing the same genre every time and to try and fit smaller games in there.

I own all of those except for Original War so I'm happy with this list. Is everyone else happy with it?

I'm still open to voting/suggestions for a while but would like to work out which game we're playing today.

Don't have 2 titles on that list but I can always buy them so it's no biggie.

So yes, I'm very happy with the list. :D

that list is fine with me, the ones i don't have, have been on my wishlist for a very long time
I would be interested in joining in when a game I have is the current game of choice. Of the ones discussed, I only have Fallout, but haven't played it, mainly do to how my monitor handles 4:3 and not being able to get DXwnd or D3Dwindower to work. I could always switch to my linux install and play it through WINE though.

My Backloggery Page.
Seeing as the forum doesn't have some kind of random number generator you are all going to just have to trust me!

The winner is.......

1 - Beyond Good and Evil

Discuss/complain here if you want and I'll make a new thread over in the BG&E forum for people to post that they're joining in.

I'm pretty busy at the moment so I'm thinking of putting the time limit to a month max. If people finish before that time they can just post that they have and if everyone finishes before the month is over we can start the discussion early.

If you aren't interested in playing this game then be sure to keep an eye out for the next one we play.

The thread for the game is HERE.

Hope to see you all there.

Damn it, just the one single game I can't play even if I really, really wanted :D

Oh well, I'll just join 24th I suppose :D
Oh damn, I forgot about your graphics card hating the game.

I'm sure there are other people who don't want to/can't play the game. Maybe you could have the same thing but for a different game. I don't see a problem with multiple going at once if people want to play something different or have the time to play multiple games. A month is a preeetty long time afterall!

There's just enough people as it is, no need to spread out :-) I'll gladly play whatever you pick next month, looking forward to it actually - at least I'll get some work done in the meantime :D
I wanted to reply to this yesterday however I've been having some net trouble.

Ahem.

Sign me up :)
