Miaghstir: Ambrosia Software is still in the game after 16 years of producing almost exclusively Mac games and software.

Navagon: Oh I'm not saying it's impossible. But there's no denying there was far more money in the Xbox... from a software standpoint at least. Plus, they were expanding into the PC market before Halo. So I'm sure they really wouldn't have done too badly for themselves at all.

Yeah.

Miaghstir: Yeah.

On an EA-related note: they've just dropped their catalogue onto UK Steam at long last.
So given that they're taking an interest in expanding their DD coverage... okay, I know. It's a distant hope...

Aye, I doubt they're willing to fully give up on DRM yet.

Steam aside, aren't the Steam versions free of SecuROM, at least?
GOG doesn't allow for second hand sales, which was one of their major pet peeves. But, at least as far as their current generation of titles is concerned, you're certainly not wrong. The only real hope would be that they view their back catalogue in a slightly more realistic light.

I have no idea. I don't have Steam, nor do I keep up with what copy protections a game uses.

...wait, what? they WANT people to be trading games inbetween themselves?
Or did I misunderstand you?

Sorry, no. I meant that second hand sales was one of EA's pet peeves. The DRM situation is not all just about piracy. They see second hand sales as a major profit loss and that's not something that can happen through GOG. It's certainly a selling point for them.
