So as HoMM3 became available today, I was eager to get it going and for anyone who is interested, here is a fairly short recount of my experience.
I bought the game itself with VISA and had no issues whatsoever, and the option to either use a download manager or just download the .exe itself is a great idea. I was thoroughly impressed that a (hefty!) pdf manual was included (for the game and its 2 expansions) as well as a soundtrack to the game, even more free stuff for a great game for $10! My only slight complaint (and this is very minor) is that the download speed is a little slow from what I am used to. It came in at about 350-400KB/s, and don't get me wrong, it wasn't painfully slow. I assume this is probably because the servers are in Europe and I am from Canada, or there were a lot of people downloading the game along with me. Considering how the size of most of these games is small, I was pleased with the download. (Please read my post down below, the download speed issue is non-existent now)
Lastly, I really liked the custom installer that game with my game....and it worked flawlessly with Windows 7 RC 64 which was a nice little surprise for me!
Overall I have been very impressed and pleased with my first purchase experience here and will continue to come here and see the newest games being released. I'd also like to add that I really like the website layout, it's very easy to find what you are looking for, the search is much much better than other sites. It's easy to find purchased games and it has an overall clean feeling to it. It's not overly cluttered.
Lastly as far as this site goes. I have been surprised by the quality and response time of your email support staff. Most sites give you a long automated response that doesn't really even address your issue. I have sent 2 emails so far and have had them answered in very acceptable time and the answers have been very precise and to the point. It's hard to find support like that around anymore.
1 more question that I will ask. I know these games come with no DRM (and I can't thank you all enough for making that decision!!) but am I allowed to install these games on all of my personal computers? I have 2 PC's and a laptop, am I allowed to play and install copies of games on all 3? I don't have any intention of giving them to other people as that only hurts GOG's business and is against the Terms.
Thank you all so much for the support I have received so far, and for having such an awesome game selection!

My downloads come from Dallas Texas USA (I did a traceroute), and I get about 700K a second, which is the full speed of my connection. Strange.
Welcome to GOG, BTW.
Welcome, dude. Glad you're loving it here. Reminds me I've actually been quite spoiled and taking things for granted a bit......:)
....
i hate you all.
i get 100kbs at max...
:)
I usually get between 150 & 300 which is fairly standard for my connection.
Howdy ho, and welcome!
Yes, GOG is totally awesome from the moment you choose the game to the part near the end where these Polish guys take your money.

And even I, a person of no morals, feels good about myself!

Just a little update, I downloaded the game on my main PC this morning along with the game soundtrack, and it came it at just barely under 800kb/s, so my only complaint is really non-existent now.
