Okay, I know this stuff is a meme, but is Friendship is Magic child appropriate? I know it's community driven (or at least I think it is) but the MLP folks don't mind so much (fancy that, IP holders that let the community run with stuff).

I don't really care, my kid will generally watch stuff and if she's not cool with it she'll not want to watch it, but this crap has a way of getting back to my ex, so anime that I wouldn't mind if she watched, personally, gets turned off (yuck, I'm a censor in my own house! I feel so dirty).

So anyways, anything there that a MLP 10 year old fan will like?

Funny stuff...I thought MLP is for girls, then about two weeks ago I watched my first episode and it is kinda interesting...and I like it

The first season is completely harmless, the only community shoutouts have been in form of more frquent appearances of background ponies that are popular with the fanbase, and some occasional nod from commercials.

And i doubt the second season will be any less appropriate for children.

I wouldn't really say the show itself is community driven, it just attracts a lot of attention because it is very different from everything else that runs in television right now.
