Permanently, my Hungarian friend. I was born here, lived in the States for a loooong while, and now I moved back as a sort of "getting back to my roots" deal.
The toughest part is waiting for this ONE last document that will help me find a job....and trying to learn the professional/occupational language. I know Polish quite well but not as well in the looking-for-a-job sense...

One word: gameplay.
Generally, the attitude of questioning a game's substance just by judging its graphics is frowned upon here. Most of us have grown up with old games that are actually very fun, and we expect to see games evolve, become more fun, more complex. However, a lot of our expectations have just turned into ashes, as games today seem to be entering a stage of regression and retardation, while developers continue to talk about how important graphics are.

Wow, you have completely missed the point of GoG. The people who like to play these old games do so because the games have the graphics and gameplay they do.
It is just a fact that games today are being made in a different way, with a different philosophy and most importantly for a different (read: bigger) audience than they used to be. This is not necessarily a bad thing, there are lots of great and interesting games being released even today, and older games often contain unnecessary frustrations that have been remedied in newer game designs, but in my opinion old games and even really, really old games have a charm and a "creative spark" that is rarely found in modern games.
Much of that can be attributed to personal feelings of nostalgia of course, but for me the most important argument in favor of preserving and playing these old games is that "they don't make 'em like this anymore".
Some of these games are masterpieces of design, programming and even graphics considering the hardware that was available and they deserve to be preserved and played by people who can appreciate this. If you can't derive pleasure from these old games, you don't have to, but please don't assume that nobody else can.

Woot never played the first 5 games started on number 6 loved them all. Was sad when i couldnt get them to work on vista but now i can get back to playing a great game.

As Lafazar and others have said, even though nostalgia is an important part of the GOG game library's appeal, it is by no means the only factor. I for one have played quite a few very old turn-based, first person dungeon crawlers lately, and with just a few exceptions I didn't grow up playing these types of games at all (primarily got into PC RPGs with much later titles like Baldur's Gate and Fallout). While the graphics of the older RPGs might very well be something of a turn-off initially if you don't have tender childhood memories of games like Might & Magic or Wizardry or Bard's Tale, it's quite possible to get past those immediate (and rather shallow) reactions and come to appreciate the deep, strategic and immensely rewarding gameplay which these games have to offer.

Lets not forget Might & Magic 7,8&9.

Wait for Might and Magic X, a fan made Might and Magic that uses the same engine from M&M 6,7,and 8.
