We're happy to announce the deal with Funcom which let us give you one of the best games of all time. Most of you probably know this fantastic adventure game, but for those of you who don't, Metacritic gave it 91/100, which quite a feat.
[url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/the_longest_journey]The Longest Journey is a point-and-click adventure game, featuring 2D prerendered locations and 3D characters. It tells the story of two alternate realities - Arcadia, the realm of magic, and Stark, the world of science and technology, much like our own reality. The main protagonist, April Ryan, discovers that she can shift between these two worlds and that the line between them is growing thin and it is up to her to restore the Balance. The game boasts a mature and complex storyline, which will keep you occupied for days, plus some fantastic, often edgy, dialogue. An absolute must-have for any adventure game fan, or anyone who likes a good story.
Didn't see this one coming. Oh no. LOL
Oh and to anyone who's unfamiliar with it, this game is one of the best adventure games ever.

I think I have a disc for this. Probably not though.
instant buy fantastic game even though i am not an adventure fan.
Must consider buying....
Instabuy for me too.
Thanks GOG
Damnit, now I have to check wether my retail copy works in 7... wait, I only have the Swedish version retail (and I mainly bought that for two reasons; for the lulz of having a real game fully translated in Swedish, and because the Swedish voice of April is done by a porn star... strangely enough), the English copy I have is a pirate copy so I guess I'll have to buy this one as well.
I remember that the newer (DVD) version of TLJ was not compatible with FSAA (especially on ATI cards). Anyone knows if FSAA works without a hitch on this version?
Wonderful game, quite lengthy as well. Most people should take more than a single afternoon to complete it. And yes, this is the one with the *insane* rubber ducky puzzle, most of the others are medium difficulty thankfully.
I already have a DD copy elsewhere alas. But it's definitely one to grab if you're an Adventure game fan and have yet to do so.
Wow! Surprise, surprise. I always wanted to play this one...
For 5.99 it'd be an instabuy. For 9.99 I'll still buy it, just not today...
Are the issues with the mouse cursor fixed in this version? (I know in the retail one, there can be a problem with the cursor "smudging" the screen making the game slightly unplayable), if that's been fixed here, I'll probably buy it.
At the risk of sounding like a heretic, I much preferred Dreamfall to TLJ. Alright, DF had some horrid forced insta-kill stealth and combat sections, but I felt the story was richer by virtue of not having to explain what's happening - TLJ is perhaps the 'origin' story.
TLJ is still awesome though, albeit with some bad pixel hunting and a couple of hugely illogical puzzles.

If anyone has any luck in running it under VMWare Fusion (XP) on an Intel Mac I'll be very interested.
Only have the Swedish version (by the way, Miaghstir, I would hardly call Regina Lund a "porn star"), so maybe this is worth purchasing again after all...
@Gremmi: Heretic! ;)
