honorbuddy: What?! It's a DS that is 3D without glasses? How is that possible?
Basically the screen has twice as many pixels as usual, and extremely narrow viewing angles. Lenses in front of the pixels are angled so that half of the pixles direct their light to your right eye and the other half to your left eye. Because of the narrow viewing angles the image intended for the left eye won't be seen by the right eye or vice versa.
This tech obviously requires your head to be in a very specific position relative to the screen, so it will only work for one viewer at a time. Not suitable for TV or cinema in other words, but it might be a good fit for the DS.
