For those who are interested, the list of achievements for OFP2 have been released
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/game/operation-flashpoint-dragon-rising/achievements/
Looks like its going to be a fairly easy list and sod all in the way of multiplayer achievements, only the one coop! Definitely a welcome change from the norm

Sorry, too busy playing ARMA 2, the OTHER military sim.
The one thats DEFINITELY full of bugs and badly designed missions rather than just POSSIBLY full of them?

It's the guys who made the first OFP, so it's really more of the authentic game than OFP 2 ever will.
and they fucked up, just like they did with OFP (perfectly forgiveable since it was their first real game) and ARMA (Significantly less forgiveable). Now with the third game, they should have it right

ARMA II isn't bad, and the bugs are pretty minor. Then again, all those small bugs add up to one giant superbug to rule them all.
I'll probably end up preferring OFP2 over ARMA II, as I rarely like too realistic games... But we'll see. I've got many other games lined up to play before any of those, and I'm saving up cash for a trip to Tokyo (leaving in the middle of next month!), so it'll have to wait (I do however have some put aside for the M&M6LE).
I prefer the OFP level of realism (won't be playing 2 on anything other than hardcore) but I prefer the modern professionally made game level of quality so you can actually play the game and have reliable results from your actions

To each his own. I prefer the fact that it is made by the original OFP devs and the authenticity is what keeps me going. I know that the people going for OFP2 are the people in the "hardcore, but not too hardcore" boat, and I can respect that.
I want hardcore, I want super hardcore but I don't want "So hardcore you have to wait 6 months for modders to fix our sloppy broken code" hardcore
And now I'm going to be a pioneer, and attempt to be the first person in the entire history of OFP2 threads not to mention ArmA 2.
...Ah, fuck.
Trust me I'd just as soon avoid it. I decided I wasn't going to argue the point anymore, I made that mistake when it was OFP vs Ghost Recon, OFP vs ARMA & Codemasters vs BIS
I decided to put Arma 2 on my 'Hold' list. I'll look to get it next year when the patches have been delivered and it's half fixed.
I go on that website too much...

Exactly the same thing I'm doing. I'm pretty sure that once it's fixed, it'll be a great game. So I'll pick it up then.
