gameon: I have a decent enough chair, but i guess it depends on how big the room is. Mine is small, so there isn't an option to adjust very much. it's like sitting on a coach seat!

Having to share a screen with others would be irritating, so i can see the benefit of using the pc in another room. But you could do the same with a console. Whichever is the cheaper option :)
Yeah, I could hook up a console to my monitor and get the same experience. I keep planning to get a PS3 and do that because some of their exclusive games look cool, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. I'm not saying console are bad.

I just have no desire to move my experience to the living room, which I know is the holy grail for a lot of people. Why I would want to take my immersive escape from daily chores and put it where I can be constantly distracted, asked to stop and have to fight for every minute with a person who wants to watch Teen Mom or Chopped is beyond me. I actively want to NOT have that experience. Yet everyone acts like it's the best ever.

Confuses me, so I shouldn't speak about the draw of Android gaming on the TV.
So... People are gonna have to buy a new one every year? Brilliant....

hedwards: Yes, but if they do that every year, then what's the price advantage over a console? You buy a console for probably $200-300 and probably don't replace it for at least 3 years, assuming you're buying new at the beginning of the iteration.

Ouya didn't even wait to finish the KS campaign before backing down on the free games thing by defining free as any game that comes with a demo. If the console also costs this much and needs to be updated every year to play the newest games, I'm not seeing any advantage over a console.

StingingVelvet: Sure, and I have no interest in the thing. I am just saying the market they are targeting is used to buying new hardware every year or two.
I may have misunderstood their target then, because I thought they were originally targeting people that weren't interested in paying for games and people who wanted open hardware.

As I've said in the past, I'd like to see them succeed, I just can't see how their going to keep the promises they've made.

Well don't PC gamers complain the other consoles for holding back graphics and tech with its long term strategy, with Ouya the tech keeps advancing and advancing and advancing heck I would think Crytek and Id might like Ouya.

But yeah I might aswell wait until Ouya 5 to see what games came out the past years.

Dude, nobody buys a new gaming PC every year. Besides, this Ouya thing is gonna be for crappy casual games, not real games.
