Price will be is $9.99 like PSN/XBLA. Coming September 25th. This game looks like a blast. Too bad CD Projekt and Namco hate each other after the Witcher 2 drm nonsense because it would be great to have it here.

10$ (= 10 euros) for Pacman? Are you insane? They better ship it with some digital crack rocks or something.

I suggest you read the glowing reviews it got (I believe IGN gave it a perfect 10) and some of the gameplay videos.

Would you pay $10 for a revamped Pong?

The gameplay is actually brings some features to classic Pac-Man. From what I've seen on YouTube, the maze continually changes in-level, you can use a "bullet time" effect to slow down and avoid ghosts, and other classic (Namco?) characters show up (including the Digger dude).

I assume they're not selling anymore copies on XBLA and have now decided to try and squeeze some more money from their game on Steam.
Nice that they added $2 to the price as well.

The DX+ update will be free for DX owners on PS3 and 360.

Get it on a deep sale. DX on PS3 was fucking awesome, but not particularly long. The game is not really about randomly dashing across the maze, but about sticking to a route at increasing speed to build up a conga line of ghosts behind you, and them eat them all for a massive combo.

Talk about squeezing the nostalgia dollar.

Personally, I like the M.A.M.E. version much better. Ten dollars is a lot for an ancient game like Pac-Man.

I would love it if GOG could pick up the game. Pac-Man is the first mascot of our hobby, and is simply a landmark that shouldn't be forgotten. That, and it is legitimately good game.

If they do to it something like they did for Pacman DX or the Space Invaders Extreme games, a definite YES.

Would you pay $10 for a new Zelda/Mario game?

The difference between Pac Man (original) and Pac Man CE DX+ are about the same as going from Super Mario Bros (NES) to New Super Mario Bros (Wii). Except that Pac Man CE DX is done amazingly well and is almost flawless. It's a great revamp of the classic Pac Man gameplay, and well worth $10.
