Potzato: I can't remember which Thief game it was ... but there is this level in an 'abandonned' asylum or orphanage .... I couldn't get through it for some reason. The atmosphere was way to heavy.
I read later that the level designer got some award for this job.

That's the Cradle in Thief: Deadly Shadows. Great atmosphere. A comparable "spooky" level is the Ocean Hotel level in VtM:Bloodlines.
