Aside from that, I really enjoyed it.

Same here. When I was playing the demo of Prey to see if I wanted to buy it, it included the scene with the kids. I stopped playing right then and there and didn't buy it.
I did buy it when it was on sale for $5, and I don't regret it, but as Shamus said, it really wasn't necessary.

Haven't played it yet, but want to. Going to try to give Stalker another go through first, especially with the new 2009 Complete mod installed.

Billy_Brightside: Interesting take on the game in your blog. Your blog seemed to disuade more than a few folks from even buying the game, but here you say you enjoyed it after all. . I wish my reviews were that effective.

Ugh! you're right, Ovoon. I've had my embarrassing moment of the year. I guess "assumption" really does make an ass out of you and me. heh. I edited the post accordingly. Thanks for pointing that out. Next time I won't post after an all night Company of Heroes fest.
