cynicalmatt: Even if I were a developer (which I'm not), who cares? As if it's unheard of for a developer to draw attention to their project. That's like saying musicians shouldn't go on tour.
I only mentioned that because it happened to me. I agree with you, if a game looks like it has the potential to at least be a sleeper hit, it deserves to be talked about.

this looks pretty good. i heart quest for glory.
Backed. Just for the record, this won't have any DRM, including Steam, right?

Btw just an idea: I like how the reward tiers include a printable label for use with DVD cases. As a stretch goal, what about having disc labels too?

Totally DRM free, of course!

Yeah - also as a stretch goal, I want to get Big-Boxes like classic games had printed up. Those are kind of expensive on a $25,000 budget, but as a stretch goal I think we could do it!

macuahuitlgog: I hope that is not what is happening here. That is basically lying to people and I hate being lied to. If someone is honestly drawing attention to a project he or she is connected to, I have no problem with that.
Nah, certainly not. I can't even write HTML, much less design a game. I'm just a supporter of IA and Himalaya, and a lifelong Sierra fan, so this project holds a special interest for me. I actually have a folder on my desktop with nearly every Sierra game installed via Dosbox, just in case I ever get the urge to play any of them. QFG VGA was actually the first PC game I ever bought as well, so I think people can understand why QFI excites me.

Blackthorne is a dev; I'm just a supporter and I'm happy to see that some other GOGers have backed the project too!
Quest for Infamy mentioned on Indiegames.com.
bumping for anyone interested

:) :) :)
remember the old pages on their site for this back when King's Quest 3 remake was still in development.
Is this game going to support widescreen/high res?

I'm just asking because I have played recent adventure games, some indie's and some of them don't support 1080 or high resolutions.
Bumping for justice. Btw has anyone tried the demo? I really want to, but between Silent Storm and a paper on Friday, I can't find the time to :(

I feel stupid for asking, but what am I supposed to do in the demo? I've been walking around the town for a while, but I can't seem to find any kind of puzzle or objective. I looked at all the locations and talked to everyone I met, but now I can't actually find anything to do aside from drinking beer at the bar.

*spoiler-ish*
have you been outside the town and talked to fishermen? Did you also talk to everybody in town including the sorceror?

Yes, I did talk to the fishermen and the sorcerer, but I could only ask them a few questions about themselves and the town, I think. Should I get some kind of task from them?

whats supposed to happen is after youve talked to everyone and been around town enough the execution people are talking about begins automatically. Did you talk to the people gambling?

I tried talking to the gamblers, but the hero says that they're too busy with their dice game.

Edit: Oh... I just got it. There are three gamblers, but you can only talk to one of them. If you try to talk to the other ones the game tells you that they're too busy with their game. I'd actually consider that a minor bug. I just got to the execution scene, thank you very much!
