How much money would you be content to make if you knew that your salary would never likely get much higher (just more or less keeping up with inflation).

How much could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

$2.8 trillion dollars sound about right?

Assuming I can't adjust for inflation and, while saving for retirement there might be another economic dip or two at any given time, 150k.
This much ;)

What if your income did adjust for income?
Ten thousand pounds sterling would turn both mine and my immediate family's life around right now - permenantly!

Assuming you meant adjust for inflation, 75k or the equivalent of the time. Now granted, I don't make anywhere near that now, but I'm still early in my career and expect ill continue to get raises.

My mate auditioned for that - EVERY single person that got through to the next stage stated in their interview "I believe I have a guardian angel!"
and they were all truly weird to boot!

...now, the chaser!...

A woodchuck would chuck no amount of wood since a woodchuck can’t chuck wood.
I've read that you can live quite comfortably and happily with $70,000 a year; anymore than that and people start to feel like they have too much money.

So, $100,000 a year please :)
I for one would like to be able to stop turning tricks to support my gaming habit.
I would say $150,000 here in the US. One hundred is probably enough but add the extra fifty so my kids can go to college without school loans and stuff like that.

5 grand a month after taxes and other stuff, increasing with inflation.

A shoebox-sized coffer filled with semi-precious stones totalling $1750 would suit me just fine. I'd also like to employ a swarthy, bare-chested man with a turban, fancy pants, curly-toed slippers and a scimitar to guard it for me.
