Just felt the need to GRRRRAAAWWGGHHHH at online banking and thought I'd do it here with my followers of the one true GoG. >_>

My main gripe being, stupid ass paypal taking forever to decide to take the money from my bank account, thus me not knowing if it's safe to purchase something else, namely this time M&M8 which I really want but without knowing if I have enough pennies left in the bank account due to slow ass paypal and slow ass updating of my bank account online... I really don't want to wait until next sunday/monday when I next has guaranteed money. So I sit here, sobbing silently into my keyboard as I type this, lamenting over my lack of M&M8-ness for which I long for.

Pointless rant of silliness ended. Thank you for your time.

I would just check Paypal and see the last amount (this is updated as soon as a purchase) and then see if theres the debited amout from the bank, my HBOS account usually shows amount in accout and amount available for withdrawal, seems to be updated at 00.00 each night.

My paypal shows "completed" on the things, but my bank for the past 3 days hasn't changed (it usually does let me see what's available minus upcoming deductions) but it isn't doing so, so don't want to make more purchases until I know for sure it's fully updated. Either way I just want M&M8 and don't fancy waiting forever xD

althougth it shows as completed it should show the cost (see image 1)

Then its just a case of looking at your transaction history in your account and looking for the amount on the same day as it was made and up to 5 after (no pics of my account sorry :-P)

If you cant see it its safe to assume it hasnt come out.

If you want Ill gift it to you and when you know for certain the pennies are there you could PP it to me or a GOG of equal value.

Thanks for the very kind offer, but I'll be ok for now, I need to continue my second playthrough of DA2 and my second playthrough of ME2 on Insanity, I'm determined to platinum both games, so they should keep me busy until I'm sure everything is out of my account that should be lol

Oh, I wasn't being reasonable, I was just griping. I realise that it's a pretty good solution really, despite its imperfections. It was certainly very generous of you to offer to gift the OP a game. :)

Could be worse, PayPal isn't legally a bank here in the US. So, at least where you are they are legally a bank.

Okay. So because you are incapable of keeping track of what you buy yourself, it's somebody else's fault? Is that the general idea? I sure hope you never ever use a credit card then.

Im in a position that I can actually do that for the first time since Christmas, Going to collect a few codes from the weekly sales and see if I can gift them, probably in May when I have half a dozen or so. I thought it was good Karma but then thought if im doing it for the sake of Karma then it doesnt really work so now I do it for the hell of it, Still need to email Ubivis a code for the GOG advent calender for Christmas 2012 too.

Oooh thats a bit harsh, it can be annoying having to check and match up between PP and the Bank its not about being incapable its just annoying

*Sighs, and remembers personal promise to not fall out with anyone on GOG*

What's the point of having to keep a separate list of everything I've bought when I already have a list of everything I've bought on HSBC's website? What benefit does that bring anyone? It's not that I'm incapable, it's that I don't see why I should have to when the very purpose of online banking/PayPal is to do just that, and it's demonstrably failing.

I can keep track of things fine, but the time between paypal taking things out sometimes puts me off kilter. I don't tend to look at my paypal, just my bank account, so unless I remember using paypal, I don't think to figure the little bits from it. Hell main reason I use paypal is to avoid the extra £1 my bank charges for international payments. (thanks Lloyds >_< )

Anyway, this was just a mini rant, should be ok from next time i get money anyway, sorted my site hosting in one low payment of <$50 to enable hosting for a year, including domain registration and addon for SSH access so either way, less than a week and I'm good as gold xD

Damn, I knew there was a reason I didn't like Lloyds. That really sucks, HSBC don't do that, I'd consider moving. :S

LLOYDS TSB..... Heathen.

Seriously the Lloyds HBOS take over should not have been allowed, they used public money to do it, the government poked them with a stick till they did it, HBOS was secure without needing a hostile takeover. And lastly the monopoly commision should have intervined but it just goes to show they have no teeth and no stomach for conflict, assholes, (im sure the staff are fine but the way its run)
