teshra: I'm in...for the Quixotic Knight, or le_chevalier as he is more commonly known. Not only is he a solid community member but he took the time to provide a well thought out, non-generic answer. (Much of which I agree with.) Obviously, he's passionate about his rpg's.
As for me, if I had a choice, it'd be single player based but if party based, I prefer Legend of Grimrock party as opposed to Baldurs Gate party. I loved BG back in the day but as I got older, that style just didn't resonate with me. Whether it be faulty pathing or too much going on in battle, etc.
And the more there is to do, the better. Especially crafting. Being an original Everquest player, I've been enchanted with crafting ever since in games. And obviously Morrowind/Oblivion turned me onto open world exploration where you never knew what was beyond that next bend or hill.

I am not looking for anything specific in a rpg as long as it catches attention. Usually i skip the long dialogues.
