Note: Following some discussions with Iceberg Interactive, we have been asked to remove Dark Matter from sale while the developer addresses the fact that the game's ending has some problems. The game will remain available for download for anyone who has already bought it. The developers have stated that they are working on a patch as a solution to this, and as we mentioned yesterday, anyone who wants a refund on their copy of their game is free to contact Support and we'll take care of you. Our apologies about this, and we hope that this helps address the problem. If you have any questions, please feel free to leave a comment below.

Dark Matter, a Sci-Fi thriller that challenges you to explore the dark corridors of a defunct spacecraft where light is as scarce as the resources you need to survive.

What is Dark Matter? Imagine you're stranded in a giant defunct space exploration vessel, and you are not alone on board. There's an ominous alien parasitic presence lurking at every corner, hiding away in the air-shafts, creeping through the conduits. This is a metroidvania-type title set in deep space, where no one can hear you scream, curse at your enemies, or call for mummy when you're lost in the vast labyrinth of dark corridors. In this non-linear survival and exploration action game you'll be challenged to make it through 14 danger-filled areas designed in the spirit of the darkest gritty hard S-F. With four upgradable guns, crafting mechanics, resource management, dynamic lightning that genuinely affects gameplay, and a reactive soundtrack, this gripping game is sure to stop your heart a few times as you play.
Oh, nice release! Glad to see there's a Mac version too, definitely picking this one up soon.
Reminds me of Abuse for some reason.

Don't know if it controls the same way (aiming with the mouse) or is as brutally difficult.
New "new" releases are welcome, though The Stanley Parable would have been way better in my book.
Whoa, surprise! I didn't know this was out already, especially since their unsuccessful Kickstarter wasn't long ago.

Glad to see this didn't end up as a Steam exclusive. I will most likely be picking this up later.
Wow they really need to fix that gameplay video. It looked interesting in the screenshots but after watching that video i lost all interest....

If this is like Abuse that would be awesome.

That game started out as a mod to Half Life 2 so perhaps it might not get her at all, hopefully it will (it looks interestingly weird).

Anyway, this release looks good too. Wishlisted for now.

I think you mistook it for a gameplay trailer when it's actually just a typical (teaser?) trailer unless I missed a gameplay video too.
Looks a bit like Rochard.
I hope Shadow Complex is next :P
"Sci-fi thriller" is not a game genre, dammit. "Sci-fi thriller" can be a visual novel or a SRPG.

Oh, "metroidvania" is mentioned in the middle of the massive second paragraph. That's progress. No explanation, how a normally one-world metroidvania goes along with 14 levels, though.

"You're not ready for what's ahead of you..." I don't know, thanks to the description I have literally no clue what's ahead.
Looks interesting, remembered a bit the old Aliens arcade from Konami
I'll have to check this one out for certain, love sci-fi settings and action platformers with item collection in the metroidvania style are fun in any way.
Looks really groovy, also looks a little much for my pocket book. I'll keep this bad boy in my periphery for now. :D

Well there is a second video on the gamepage and it's called gameplay and the gameplay looks terrible...I will look at other videos of the game (I expect Totalbiscuit any moment) but if it's even slightly better then this, they really need to remove this video...
