The many adventures of the Armored Princess in the realm of Endoria!

Kings Bounty: Crossworlds GOTY, the ultimate package containing the Armored Princess campaign and many extensions, is available on GOG.com 40% off! That's only $14.99, until Thursday, January 17, at 10:59AM GMT.

Sir Gilbert, the defender of Endoria, is nowhere to be found and the realm is in need of a new hero. Or a heroine. Princess Amelie steps in and takes on the mantle of the prime knight. So begins her amazing, and sometimes dangerous, journey through the many mysterious corners of the land she calls home. Theres much at stake, as the dark forces that threatened the people of Endoria in the past are gathering once more. Actually, even conquering them won't be the end of the Armored Princess' struggle. There's always another quest ahead, when you're the hero.

Kings Bounty: Crossworlds GOTY consists of the basic Armored Princess campaign, the Crossworlds expansion and plenty other add-ons, like the Orcs on the March, and Champion of the Arena, so you can expect to spend many hours in the gorgeous, magical realm of Endoria. A real treat for any fan of Heroes of Might and Magic type of games, mixing strategy and RPG elements. Make sure not to miss it!

Set out on your great adventure in the beautiful high-fantasy realm of Endoria! Get Kings Bounty: Crossworlds GOTY, for only $14.99, this week only!
Wow, a release I actually own a boxed copy of. I picked this gem up for $20 a year ago, so the price doesn't seem like gouging to me.

AstralWanderer: Reductio ad Hitlerum is a daft response for any argument. If you don't like something, that's your right - but to try to draw comparisons with one of the greatest human atrocities in recorded history is ludicrous.
And to ignore everything else on the sentence and focus only on single part of it, with the only purpose of on-line self-promotion, in a discussion that you're not even a part of it, is being a narcissistic attention Wh0re.

Clawdeath: well in other words if you are under 8 and like Disney the Armored Princess is for you, if you are above 8 and don't like Disney go with the Legend and you surely won't regret.
...but we who are above 30 and happen to like Disney, where do we go?

For the record, Armored Princess (at least the Crossworlds "remixed" version) is a big step up from The Legend; especially in terms of the overall map structure. Quickly travelling between smaller islands rather than slogging through endless continents does wonders to the game's pacing (which nonetheless drags towards the end, but that's just King's Bounty for you...), and the dragon companions adds a new leg to the already compulsive RPG progression system.
Great release, I already own it on Steam. I'm still considering buying it here. Wishlisted!

For the question of where do we go, it's simple, go play Kingdom Hearts, it's an rpg and does have Disney characters, Kings Bounty shouldn't be made with Disney's fans in mind, because the first two games doesn't have anything Disney-alike, not a character, not background story, anything, and also that's why there's a Disney, they should stay loyal to the fans of the first 2 games, the people that made the game famous enough to have three sequences, and even the game producers know that, because on Warriors of the North they cut out the single solution, swiss army knife, childish cute baby dragon, and put five Valkyries on it's place and your relation with them on the game it's pretty much like your relation with the wives on The Legend so the Warriors of the North it's back to it's roots.
^Can we just halt this kind of dumb argument with the assertion that no one's opinions will change and it's thus completely superfluous?

AstralWanderer: ]Reductio ad Hitlerum
I did not know there was a Latin term for this. Awesome.

It's certainly nice to see Armored Princess show up here, although like many others I'd consider the price of $25 to be much too high (especially when compared to the just released KB: Warriors of the North, which has a base price of $30). At the sale price of $15 it's something I would have considered if I didn't have the game, but since I already do that's still too high just for a DRM-free version and adding the Crossworlds expansion (and calling Crossworlds an expansion is being extremely generous from what I've read). As it stands I'll be waiting until a sale takes the price to the sub-$10 range to grab myself a DRM-free version.

^Only losers think that stand for their opinion and state their reasons for it, is a dumb thing.
And yeah, way to go, talking about how awesome you think he is for knowing a Latin term for it, that's exactly what he wanted, now he would probably come back with a new monologue.
Quote broken for some reason?

...dude, you're arguing about whether a dragon in a game is too cartoony. Not only is it a completely subjective thing, but NO ONE CARES. This wouldn't even be an argument if you weren't being so abrasive about it.

(and that's all I'm saying, I have no desire to get caught up in this)

I paid $45 for Armored Princess and was so happy afterwards - I had to import box copy from USA. Same thing was with Fantasy Wars, for which I paid $65 and Elven Legacy which I think I got from UK for $35. Anyway, good games, and even those not so praised by critics (like aforementioned TBS games) are quite unique and in my humble opinion it's better to have one or two good games (even when they are expensive) then buy games in dozens for peanuts and not being able to play them properly.

I know, I checked that. But we need to keep wishlist clean, so all dupes need to be marked as completed too.
