From what i've seen in Australia, i've compiled a list of comparisons of GoG games and thei retail counterparts:
Commandos 2+3- $9.99 on GoG, but $20 retail (gamers Choice Double Pack)
Myst-(if you can still find it) $5-10 retail, 5.99 on GoG (red Ant)
Fallout: This is weird. Individually, they sell for 5-10, but the Fallout Collection is currently $15, which is cheaper than GoG (Interplay bundle)
I know this isn't on yet, but Combat Mission: Babarossa to Berlin was $2 (amazingly cheap) at EB, not sure what it will be on GoG (Red Ant)
Operation Flashpoint and Soldiers: Heres of WW2 Double shot is $20. I don't know how much OFP was on GoG, but Soldiers is the same price (by verdict of $20/2)
(That's Hot: Double SHots: http://thatshot.au.ubi.com/)
Having seen how good OFP is, i'm willing to buy this for OFP alone
Beyond Good and Evil was previosuly sold at $20. It's half that on GoG
Evil Genius (Budget edition-sierra classics) was $20, it's half that on GoG
Empire Earth was $10, now $5 on GoG
Farcry was previosuly sold alone for $20, in the That's Hot range, but s now part of a double pack with Ghost Recon for $20. GoG sells it for $10
Ground Control 2 was $20 retail. $10 on GoG
HOMM3 was last seen for $30 in retail, but it's $10 on GoG.
I bought IL-2 near release for $40, and am amazed that it's only $10 on GoG
I managed to pick up Ghost Master for $2. It's 5.99 on GoG
Patrician 3 is sold at $5 in EB, wheras it's 9.99 on GoG
Praetorians was sold for $10 in retail, now 5.99)
Unreal Complete is $20 retail. Unfortunately, it's more expensive on GoG
So really, the GoG comes out on top except for compilations, including Fallout and Unreal

Myst and Riven come in a box set with Myst III: Exile for $20. I see it in almost every other store I go to that sells video games.
So that's about $6.33 a game which is just a tad more than GOG. But GOG doesn't have Myst III: Exile yet. (Come on Ubisoft.)
A long time ago, I purchased MYST 1,2 & 3 for $90 - Yes, young and foolish, but back then I didn't have many options.

I don't think they sell that in Australia, but thanks for that input

GOG could perhaps use some compilation packs on here. I know that's not really necessary right now. But I think it would be a useful feature. Although I think they'd have to loosen their pricing policy on those.
Also, don't forget that GOGs have more of a guarantee of working on modern systems than retail copies. The titles that don't work so well right now they seem keen to fix.

Plus GOG's releases are guaranteed DRM free and you don't have to worry about damaging your discs.

Maybe so?

Very true, that. Being able to download again at any time means you don't have to worry too much about the state any of your backups are in either.

Yes, the DRM Free part is worth the little extra in cost. To install anytime with no issues is worth it for sure.

Yeah, in my local Game one can get the White Label dvd with all 3 Fallouts for £5.99. I believe they're DRM free too. This works out almost half the price of GOG, but I did buy F1 and 2 from here just to send a message to publishers that GOG is something to invest in.
I don't really mind the price, I just get whatever I feel is easier for me. If I can spot a game I like cheap on retail and don't know/remember if it's on GOG, I'm probably gonna buy it. If I know it's on GOG, then my purchase completely depends on how much I love the game, for games I like a lot, I'm probably gonna grab the retail copy, then those I love to death I'm gonna probably buy both.
One problem for me is the FIXED price of some gog games, like the ones from ubisoft and unreal series (some games deserve $9.99 and for being drm-free; but it's too high for games like unreal nowadays, whereas anthology at retail is selling for $10). And the lack of the expansions for ghost recon, rainbow six...
Where the fallout series profit goes to? interplay 100%?

Apparently. Interplay is still allowed to sell the collections. I think DRM free is an importat thing, but most old games cut through DRM anyway. Anthologies , as you said, should realy be advertised for lower prices
