And I ran.
I ran so far away.
I just ran.
I ran all night and day.
I couldn't get away.

in for:
Runaway: A Road Adventure - GOG

story:
shelly was a prisoner.
there were no discernible walls, but there were limits. all directions eventually became impassable.
after years of imprisonment shelly escaped, by pretending to be dead for several days on end.
the giant guard only did a cursory inspection in which shelly remained prone. then it was just a watery spiral to the freedom of the sewers, and the sweet smell of victory.

thanks for a giveaway!

Years ago, my brothers, a friend, and I were pulling an all-nighter to play a D&D style game. During one of the fights, my brother was telling us what he was going to do, but fell asleep in mid sentence. We thought it was odd, but continued playing without him. A couple of hours later, he woke up and shouted, "I said I attacked it with my sword." We all looked at each other and rolled over in laughter.

I'm in for Battle Realms + Winter of the Wolf, thanks.

I'm in for Don't Starve. Thanks!

EDIT: Crap. Have a headache and read over the part where I have to tell a story. I'll edit one in later, if you don't mind. :)

One morning young Kenji got into an argument with his parents and declared that he was running away from home. His parents decided to play along and helped him pack everything he thought he would need into his backpack, and waved goodbye from the front door, sure that he would be back for lunch. Lunchtime came and passed with no sign of Kenji, and with the afternoon slipping away his parents began to worry. What if he had suffered an accident, or been attacked by wild animals in the woods, or worse, joined the circus and become a clown - how could they live with the shame of their only son becoming a clown?

Deciding they had waited long enough they set out to find their son. They checked with all his friends and talked to the neighbours but no one knew where he was. They checked with the circus too, but the ringmaster told them he had not recruited any new clowns, so with the cold winter day drawing to a close they resolved to search the woods that night. After a couple of hours of working their way deeper into the forest, shouting Kenji's name every few minutes the only light left came from the torch they carried and the full moon filtered through the trees. Kenji's parents were exhausted and ready to head home until dawn when they heard a faint cry in response to their shouts. Reinvigorated, they charged off in the direction of the cry, certain they had finally found their lost son. After stumbling and sliding down a steep bank they reached the source of the cries, only to find themselves face-to-face with a wolf and her cubs. Realising their mistake, they were backing off when a loud growl from behind froze them in their tracks. Turning slowly, the found the rest of the pack had arrived, with a hungry look in their eyes. "Run!" Kenji's Dad yelled, and they started to scramble back up the bank, but they were exhausted and the wolves had no trouble catching and eating them.

Kenji enjoyed his new career as the apprentice lion tamer, and spent many years with the circus before returning home to stake his claim to the Dragon throne, plunging the realms into battle.

I am entering for Battle Realms + Winter of the Wolf, in case you had not worked it out.
One Boxing Day a few years ago, I went to a store called Gaint Tiger. I looked and looked in the sales bins for a game. I didn't want to leave empty handed , so I picked up Runaway 2 for $5.00. I played the game and have been thinking about getting Runaway 1 and 3 ever since.

Hope the above story is good enough for the contest.

I'm in for Runaway: A Road Adventure

Thanks

Just an FYI- the story is pretty good for the first, but there is one or two items that you'll have to pixel hunt for in a few areas. That's generally the only complaint people have in that game. Still fun, though.

I was a bit unclear, I meant my story for the contest, it's a bit short and pointless. I don't have any real running away stories. :|

lol... Sorry for my misunderstanding. I was multitasking :)
BUMP
I'm running away for.... BUMP :D
Running away....I'm gonna copy my post from dream topic, because it fits that description.

Dream:
I was at my grannys flat.
Before I continue you have to imagine the room placement. My room, east, north-east (where I assume I start running from...remembering always brings me to the run and not to the origin of it). Door on west, south-west corner. Out of door is small hallway (north-south). North end goes to kitchen (its south, south-east corner). Door to balcony in kitchen in west, north-west corner. Balcony is wide on west-east coordinates. The door to kitchen is on its east, south east corner and the small part of wal north of the door is blind looking from the kitchen.
Suddenly a wolf (warewolf more likely, walking on 2) was after me. I run, like I said I only assume that from my room. I run through the kitchen to the balcony and hide in the blind north-east corner. Then I hear the wolfie slowly entering the kitchen. Then he steps into the balcony unaware where I am. When he is in the middle of the balcony I jump towards him and push him off the 7th floor. END

Battle Realms or Runaway, both sound good.
BUMP!
