DaCostaBR: I think it's out, I just downloaded it from the link he gave.
Oh, you're right. Apparantly it has finally been released on Wednesday, just three days ago, cool!
avatar
DaCostaBR: Also I didn't know about the other thread.
No problem, that's why I posted the link. It hasn't been updated in quite a while though.

lowyhong: Donna: Avenger of Blood is quite highly praised around here. I have it downloaded, but haven't had the time to try it yet.
Oh, Lord. Donna is my ex-wife's name although she was more Donna: Mistress of Torment.

I think I need to stay away from all things "Donna" for so long as I live.
The Stanley Parable. It's actually a mod for Half Life 2 but I think it counts. You don't need the game just the Source Mod tools that are in your Steam client (in case you have one). Here:

http://www.moddb.com/mods/the-stanley-parable

It's about a narrator telling a story. But he says what you do before you do it so you can contradict him. It's just 15min long but it has 6 endings. Well worth your time.

I'd like to second the recommendation for Tiggit and also add.

http://www.indiekings.com/ They have a freeware games list.

and http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=244468 The Cheap Ass Gamer massive freeware list with everything sorted by categories.

ShadowWulfe: Thread is... favorited.

Don't know as to the legality of this, but Cybermage.
Looks like an abandonware site, so technically not legal and not freeware, but at least they link to GOG.com for games that are available for purchase again.

I think EA have the rights to Cybermage. At least they distributed it.

SCPM: Death Rally - A top-down shooting and racing game
Death Rally FTW!

amok: I'l do as I usually do in these threads:

http://tiggit.net/
Does that come with a "Games recommended by GOG.com members" filter? Because that's what I understand is the purpose of this thread, rather than just "where can I find some free games?"

I'm gonna be hated for this but Slender is a great game

ha, maybe it should. It is open source, so someone who can program a little should make one. More importantly - recommended by amok filter, all you would ever need. Should have one for life in general...

Is Frog Fractions really a parody of edutainment? I think people give that game far too much credit; I'm inclined to say it's more absurdist nonsense than anything else.

Anyway:

Super Crate Box
Spelunky

Treasure adventure game was a game that surprise me on here it is solid, a platformer, and has a fun style to the game player. It isn't overly difficult, but has enough challenge to be fun. This game was 1 of the first ones that I played on here. It is a blast, once you get going. Even my 8 year old enjoys it. :)

Fenixp: Aaand Iji just so story-based, action-RPG platformers are present.
+1 to this.

I was actually thinking of making a thread to get the guy some more publicity for his game, it is so overlooked. :-)
Orb of Dilaaria, but I'm a bit biased about that one. :)

It's a free Wolfenstein 3D total conversion in a fantasy setting with multiple game paths and a vastly expanded game engine.
